Did Germany in May with my Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists group. Next I'm off in June to Northern Spain for a group ride going out to Oviedo for a few days and them we make our way to the Pyrenees and over to Millau and on to Calais via Oradout sur Glane and Chartres. Should be fun. I'm enjoying my silver VFR VTEC very much. Had it almost a year now. Doing another French trip in August after my 75th birthday.
Just keep riding until you can't get you leg over.

I'm 52 and I have a RD 400 Yamaha and I just bought my first Interceptor 2003 800. I've done three track days in the last decade and have been riding since I was 15.....Good on ya mate!

    Ride until you can't.

I was at a neighborhood barbecue a while back. Four of the neighborhood gentlemen took it upon themselves to school me on the dangers of motorcycling ( I have ridden for decades). I didn't say much, only "the thing that kills you is usually a big surprise". Long story short... 3 have had cancer since, 2 died (in their forties). I don't want to die, but am certain I will at some point. Until then, I consider riding a privilege.

I 'm 54 so that probably qualifies me as an older guy. But I bought it when I was 36. Is that older guy territory?

    Great definition.

They are known as Fergusons over here.
Ferguson make tractors, or used to.

Careful there matey I have a couple of Massey Ferguson 8120 tractors and they all sound OK, my grandson refers to Harleys as sounding like a slurry pump misfiring

They sound like tractors regardless, the "knuckle draggers" like to turn the idle down to nothing so you get the "potatoe-potatoe-potatoe sound" I would go for an old Hinkley though

We can make fun of the Harleys, but at least their throttle by wire is actually throttle by wire! We've still got throttle cables.

Hey, a cable is just a lot of wires twisted together. So we definitely have throttle by wires.
