Seems like a lot of work for little power. Impressive none the less. I am more interested in details of the longevity of this supercharger kit and why they discontinued something so popular.

Lol @ little power. I have seen dynos of 160-200 whp for that kit, depending on tune/supporting mods/dyno. The kit was popular in that everyone talked about getting it, but nobody actually bought it. $5000 proved to be too much money for most people, hence why toro went out of business. If you want to know more about it, message member toecutter. He is a great guy. Really knowledgeable and helpful.

With "little power" I was speaking to Mohawks gains/mods. Although impressive for N/A gains of that much on any bike, its a lot of work and I don't have the time. The supercharger kit is more up my alley with basic add ons. Cams and such will not be added to this bike.

The all talk is understandable at that price. I spent less on my Camaro blower setup.

Thank you for the info guys. Ill see what info cutter has.

I forgot to ask you in PM how much the used kit was?

I will see the guy Saturday if it doesnt rain here. We have not discussed a price. Im interested in that myself seeing as they were so pricey new. I don't think he purchased the kit himself so I'm hoping nothing too nutty.

If you want more power, just buy a faster bike. The 800 is all I need as I can't go that fast without getting cops chasing me all over the place
better off with a slow bike then when you ride fast it seems faster. As for wifes making you sell your bike, I do just the reverse-sell pussy kittens for bike parts-its better to be a pimp.:boobies4:

The same thing is repeatedly said on the EX250 and EX500 forums. This does not make it true.

We have the EX500 and it's fun little bike until the pace heats up in a group, then it comes up pretty short. Of course the bikes I was riding with were things like a KTM 1290, S1000 RR, etc... :courage:

Me too, why stop selling it, and if the company was not managed properly why not sell the plans to someone that can manage the product properly?

Anybody on here still have a turbo/supercharged vfr800. Would be grateful if I could pick your brains just a bit. Toying with the idea of supercharging. Just in the research phase.
