Wsbk has been better than GP except for a few races here and there for years

Along with WSBK there's a lot of action in Moto 2&3. It looks like it's going to be a good year to watch/record races.

    Assen WSBK Spoiler*****************************

    Jerez GP Spoiler******************************

GP was a boring race, MM did well with the new pin in his finger to take 2nd place. JL was on a tear all weekend in front of his home crowd.

WSBK was great as usual with some very competitive racing. Hats off to the Rookie Vandermark making the podium in front of his home crowd on the sub par Honda. He was riding it like his old teammate Rea was last year. Rea is having a stellar year so far on his new Kawi ride. Double at Assen puts him 50 points ahead. I thought with a competitive bike he would win the championship this year.

By the end of the year you should have Rossi, MM, Lorenzo and Dovi all able to win it. I just wish there was a little more up front racing, this was a boring race.

Yeah, once I saw JL get the whole shot I called it, he's going to run away and leave everyone behind, welcome back JL! For a second it looked like there was going to be a repeat of Argentina, but Marc was able to put a little more effort and keep VR at bay, but yes a boring race. I wish they would move the cameras to the mid pack when the front runners are so far ahead, it would have been nice to see Dovi go from 25th to 9th and to see the mid pack do some battling.

I always wonder why the producer/director does not cover the action in a race like this. If you got to watch WSBK, that was some great racing.

Yep, caught up on the WSBK this weekend. Rae seems to be killing it! Got to say Haslam isn't doing too bad either, that Aprilia RSV4 seems to be doing much better in WSBK than in MotoGP.

What do you think of Vandermark? Sykes has not/will not talk to him since he hit Tom in the first race and ended his day. Then to see Vandermark take Sykes in both races with very aggressive passes had me (and the commentators) laughing about it.

I thought his Assen podium was well deserved, he really had to earn it, not sure how well he can do on the Honda, seems like the Kawi, Duc and Aprilia are up front most of the time. I heard the comments about Sykes but don't recall seeing the event that got him all upset. I might go look up that race and see what happened. I guess it might be hard to have something like this happen to you and not be able to move on. Some riders seems to just shrug it off as part of the game, others not so much.

TBH I find WSBK to be pretty boring for the most part this year... It's the Johnny Rae show, which is pretty much as exciting to watch as the MM show was in MotoGP the first 10 races last season. It's a battle to finish the podium, not for the win.

As always, the lower classes are where the real racing is... Moto2/3 and SSP/SSTK1000/600 are almost without fail exciting to watch (Danny kent is pretty much running away with Moto3 this year tho there have been some good battles, like this past weekend in Jerez)

I'll have to agree, the lower classes do seem to have a lot more action, I'm rooting for Rins in Moto2. To be honest I haven't caught up on the other classes, but when I can I'll probably catch up on them soon.

With multiple riders taking points away from each other, no matter how boring, it could end up being a pretty decent season. If Dani comes back and gets fully fit, that could be another wrinkle to make it more interesting.

Yeah the fight for first place might have not been all that exciting except for this past weekend but after that there have been some really good fights for the podium. And the smaller classes in both FIM divisions is always the best racing.
Rea has put in his time and paid his dues.
