Hello everyone, I am 21 years old and I just started riding on the street last May on a Honda CBR250R. I had a little experience with dirtbikes a few years back and everything came to me quick. I was able to put a good bit of miles on the bike before winter came and I decided to get a ZX6R.

Anyway, from winter until just last week I had put many miles on the ZX6R and unfortunately wrecked after hitting a patch of gravel in a turn I didn't know to well. Luckily I had all the gear and just ended up being really sore but the bike is totaled.

I have liked the VFRS and I'm planning to have one soon. I just started my search and I'm looking for the right bike. I'm sure these will be much more comfortable than the ZX6R I had and I'm sure I'll have just as much fun with this bike. I've also heard amazing things about the V4 engine. Anyway, thanks for allowing me to be a part of the forum and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better!

Welcome to the WORLD and good luck with the search for the bike. We all love our VFR's, so we're fairly certain you will as well. LOL

Sorry to hear about the crash but at least you made it through with minimal injuries. Good to hear you were wearing gear as bikes can be repaired and replaced, but severe injuries can take a long time to heal. Ride safe, have fun and keep us updated once you find THE BIKE.

Well I found a couple 5th gens that I'm interested in so far. Unfortunately I'm limited to just browsing the internet until I get the check from the insurance.

Take a tip from me , keep looking and then buy the best one you can find.
Don't worry about the mileage as the engines are bulletproof, can easily clock 100 ,000 no problem
Get one with good plastics and service history.

Thanks for the advice. I heard the engines are very reliable so I'm not too worried about mileage. I have at least 2 weeks before I can even attempt to purchase anything but I'm going to wait until I find the one I think is right.

As for prices, I don't care too much about the "great" deal. If it's in the ballpark, buy the one you like. Don't sweat the $500 - $750 you think you can save by waiting. YMMV.
