Red 6th gen in El Cerrito, CA going up the hill on Sea View Ave. Saw you right in the 90 degree left hand corner at 1:00pm Sunday the 15th. I think you almost were dragging a peg in that corner!

White 3rd Gen' on my way home from my post-work evening ride in the glorious late sunshine, going the other way on the Dawlish road to Exeter. Looked just like my old bike (I see almost no white ones of that generation) and sounded beautifully growling and happy.

Out of curiosity, do any of you do as this guy has and flip your side stand down even when using your centrestand?

I've seen a few parked like this, and never really understood the reasoning...

I have a suspicion that sometimes that's the result of hitting the side stand while bringing down the center stand.

I seem to recall something somewhere in relation to the Goldwing about having the side stand down when you bring it off of the center stand, but I can't remember.

When I plan on using the center stand, I tend to throw the side stand down first as a precaution to make sure I don't drop the bike, mainly during fueling. I normally will put it back up if I'm leaving the bike for some reason though.

    Okay, my two cents......
First week riding my bike to work, always put on CS, and put in gear with sidested down, thinkin anything to screw said thieves. But it backfired on me one day when taking off the CS the sidestand came right down on top my left big toe. Can you say fucking ouch.
Had a good laugh at myself for being such an idiot and not moving my foot....live and learn.
Oh, toe was a nice shade of purple for a week

Not sure if they're a member or not, but I was out riding on Saturday May 2nd to Red Feather Lakes, CO and ended up riding along side a red 4th gen that was turning to go up the Poudre Canyon. They seemed overly thrilled to see another viffers, we exchanged waves and a series of honks. I was on my yellow 5th gen.

Two 5th gen red VFRs this afternoon in Moorpark, turning from Princeton heading North on Spring. Both had top boxes on back. Who are you?
