by the way, I seem to have two of the chain adjustment tools, but I don't have the shock adjustment tool. Anyone interested in a trade?

Had a productive afternoon yesterday! Got the thermostat in & throttle bodies/air box back in, clutch pack installed & cover back on & got the new rear shock installed! By far the most time consuming was cleaning the old gasket off the clutch cover & engine case~

I can't wait to see it on the bike. How far away are you from getting there?

further than I want to be! I'm hoping to have it done by the end of next weekend.

I'm waiting on the fork cartridge inserts from Jamie Daugherty but may have to put the bike together before I get them...

Got the initial work done on the rear wheel...

Putting everything back together and it was having some trouble installing the access panel on the right side above the rearset. that's when I noticed the rearset was bent in several places and the swingarrm bolt was only finger tight! I looked up the torque and it's supposed to be 93 ft bs... it was more like 9.3 inch lbs~

I can't emphasize enough the importance of routinely checking all bolts, nuts, etc. on your bike. I would have never known it was like that had I not noticed the rearset was bent.

Looking at my old VFR Manual, it looks like rear brake light switch connector.

Any plans to paint or ceramic coat those rusty headers? It would seem a shame to go to all the effort that you are and leave them that way. Maybe it's just me. The rims are looking awesome by the way.
