I have been working in Texas this last week near Austin. I have to go back home today for more work. I tried to stay for the races but that's not going to happen. One day I will make a GP race.

So close, but yet so far! I haven't been to a MotoGp race yet either, was close to going to the last Laguna Seca race but work schedule and $ wasn't in the cards. I'll be going to the WSBK in Laguna this year though. I think Austin would be more likely for me than Indy, but it's usually right around the wife's birthday so might be hard to sell her on me going while she stays home for her birthday!

What's up with Jorge? Is he having another bad start to his racing season? First the helmet issue in Quatar, now he's been diagnosed with bronchitis! Yesterday's FP2 left him outside the top 10.

:hss: That was some of the best qualifying I've seen! Got to hand it to JL, even when not feeling 100% he still gives it 100%, if not more! If he's feeling better tomorrow, then tomorrow's definitely going to be some great racing action, it'll be good nonetheless IMO.

I still think that Marquez breaking down on the front straight with 3 minutes to go in the session, jumping the pit wall and running back to his garage, the crew having the 2nd bike ready to go, jumping on it and throwing down a last lap attempt to go from 7th to pole and beat the field by .3 of a second trumps some dude with a chest cold. Back when Lorenzo used to be tough, he would do that with a broken collarbone he suffered the day before.....(i'm joking a little)

Yeah, that was impressive! Definite shows why MM is world champion. Although I'm not a big Jorge fan, his broken collar bone ride was very impressive as well. Didn't do too bad today considering he's got bronchitis. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

For a split second, I thought Cal was going to take pole position, but how quickly did all that change huh? Friggin qualifying was just as exciting as a race.

Unfortunately, it was just another typical day at the office for Crutchlow. Shows great promise, fast in practice, decent in qualifying, but then it all seems to fall apart in the blink of an eye. Whatever he did to be on the losing end of karma this many times......

The Yamaha's will be quick at first but I look for them to fade, as the word from the paddock is that they can't make the right side of the tire last for more than 7 laps. However, they have done it in the past, crap all weekend, then magical setup on race day. It wouldn't break my heart if they both ended up being non factors at the end. The morning warm up will be a good indicator.

Finally got to watch all the races. MM was insane on his record Q lap. Don't forget he jumped over the wall before he sprinted. Did anyone see Rossi's front tire? I can't believe he could even finish the race with that thing. No wonder he nothing for Dovi at the end, he was hanging on a thread, literally. All in all a very boring race. Sam Lowes in Moto 2 was much better racing and story. If the kid can keep from launching himself into space he might be on top this season. Moto 3 was like watching bowling.

Couldn't agree more. Glad I didn't attend. Poor weather, many crashes, walkaway victories. best of the weekend in the actual races...Quartararo first podium, Rinns leading the Moto2 Championship while Marc's little brother struggles, Dovizioso passing Rossi to put him on the third step.

Joker: Both Ducati's running out of fuel on the last lap after saying they had run 22l without a problem all of last year.

COTA is notoriously bad on fuel; they should be fine until Motegi, and they have time to address it by then...

Misano......They weren't exactly fine at Qatar..... They haven't been exactly forthcoming in telling the whole story. It will be good to see them on equal terms, with respect to fuel load, in 2016. Just in case you think I'm being a Ducati hater, I have Iannone as one of my riders on my fantasy team.....

They test at Misano, they'll be fine.

    Who is in MotoGP?

    Agreed.
