I don't know about that statement, we'll have to see where he finishes vs. the Ducs...

True but he would have had probably would have had #3 spot but was blocked on his flying lap, the guy got a penalty point for block Cal. And the Duc is going to be a much better bike this year.

Top 16 under a second apart; could finally be a very broadly competitive year in MotoGP...

Awesome race. Rossi was a master beating Dovi on a bike that was a LOT faster. I think he had just enough tire left to wail the last few turns. I know when Gigi left WSBK and Aprillia for GP he would have a lot of work to do. I guess he cleared out a lot of hard headed Duc folks and is getting the job done fast. What other than tires are the ducs allowed to do different than everyone else?

Not the result I was expecting, but one I am very happy with. If I recall Gator, the open bikes have different fuel and ECU limitations/restrictions as well as the tire choices.

They get 2 liters more fuel, but they've been running with the same 22 liters as everyone else at most tracks; and they only used the super soft for qualifying, not the race, so the tires don't play as much a part as everyone is making it out to...

The whole fuel thing is a moot point now, don't have to take their word on how much fuel they have, or have not been using.....so we will see who has been telling the truth

And now the Fairy, err, Pedrosa may not race the next race, or even again, as he says his arm pump, specifically in his right arm is too severe. He has been told no surgery by every doctor, as he's already has surgery on it to no avail, and alternative solutions have not worked...

So with more fuel the bike can be tuned a little more aggressive and throttle openings can be more aggressive (well not so that you land on your head). I was wondering how the Ducs just walked away from the Yamaha's. I think MM would have won this race if he had not run off. Last year him and Rossi had a great battle.

Although it is hard to say, I agree with you. Marquez ended up dead last and worked his way back to 5th, only 7 seconds back of Rossi at the line, and it wasn't like Rossi was cruising at the end. Rossi also had the fastest lap of the race at a 1:55.2 and was quicker than Marquez on every lap. But, it's racing and Rossi won this one.

If Rossi can somehow win the championship this year there will be no question about who's the goat.

In all the excitement of the factory bikes not much was said about Crutchlow being the #1 satellite bike. Though he might to have wanted to stay on the Duc this year. I think his help with the Duc was enough seeing how many times it tossed him off.

One of the best I've seen, looked as though LorenTHO, stuffed inside MM and stood him up setting him up to almost rear ending the rider in front of him.....
Rossi had an epic ride...cant believe how fast the Ducc's are, little winglets and all
