If I had bitch slapped that pimply faced brain dead piece of puss pod, he would never have gotten up. And I would have to shower to wash off all the puss. Lowe's is not as common up here on our west coast as it is down there so I went to Rona, Canada's answer to Lowe's. Nearest Lowe's is about an hour away from here.

Yeah, who is it that said they never had met a bad Ducati dealer? Westlake Ducati here in Thousand Oaks is some of the coolest folk I know. They'll let you test ride a bike just for asking. You could throw a tank of gas in it and burn it out and they would be cool with it. I used to sell Yamaha, Triumph and Suzuki at a dealership in Simi Valley and test riding a bike there was not very easy. I understand that it is a risk for the dealer, but fuck, I worked there, selling more bikes than anyone else and even I couldn't fucking ride the goddamned bikes I was selling. NO personal experience on the bikes, so I had to wing it or go off of reviews and other's experience.

Westlake Ducati is the number one dealership in the US and they aren't even two years old. I wonder why???

Excellent customer service is nearly a superpower these days!

That Numero Uno slot for Duc dealers in the US is getting kind of crowded. In aboot two minutas worth of searching one in Eugene, Ogeron, Newport Beach, CA and the one in Thousand Oaks seem to all be in some sort of Italian Zen thing, " Make me one with everybody".

Looks like nobody has given them the Google review treatment either.

At least we know that the assholes at the Honda dealer in Texas will not be #1 in the near future should make somebody happy.

I sure hope the dudes at that Thousand Oaks outfit are at least asking to see some ID before they let some other dude off the lot with a 20K bike before it is last seen somewhere South of TJ. Then again, the test ride bikes may be Harleys..

Damn! This Number One thing is near viral.. Now the dudes from a duc dealer in Brisbane is claiming title. We are being overcome by the Oztralians.

The number one duc dealer in the world is actually the factory if ya think aboot it.

A requirement by law here. Matter of fact, a test driver must carry written permission from the stealership bearing his DLN here. SOme say its a hassle. I say go for it.

The dudes at Thousand Oaks do too. CA has a very complete and comprehensive DMV codes and laws. This same outfit is also an exotic car dealership and you don't stay in business doing things like letting some dude take off in a Maserarati or on a Duc just for the asking. IMO, this would not be too smart and could seriously mess with the inventory.

This brings us to yet another of BBs favorite mini-morality plays. The short version for the ADD set and because it's going to be real nice oot and I am riding to the number one Walmart in my hood later.

Three sparrows are perched upon the handle of a scoop shovel in the middle of a cow pasture. They have just had lunch on some choice organic and gluten free cow pie.

One says to the rest, " I feel so great that I am going to fly to California". He (or she) takes off, fly's ten feet and drops dead. Number two says, " I feel equally as great and I am going to fly to NYC". He (generic) takes off, fly's ten feet and drops dead.

Number three sticks around for dinner.

The moral of this tale is not to fly off the handle when you're full of shit.

Usually that type of attitude at a dealership in indicative of bad culture. I know that at the dealer I work for they strive to greet every customer when they walk in the door. That's not to say they don't miss people or employes don't have bad days but the culture is one of good customer service. They had a sales guy that was really good. He sold a lot of bikes but he was kind of snotty if you were just looking or if he thought you were wasting his time. They let him go but not after he made a few customers mad. Sometime, if you are looking for helmets or gear, the P&A guys might be tired up making a sale. If you can't get their attention go someplace else. If you have concerns seek out the GM and let him or her know what's going on. If you get bad vibes from the GM never go back. That dealership has serious problems.

Want a bad Ducati dealer? Come to the one in Plano (a Dallas suburb) . They won't talk to you unless you have money hanging out of your pockets.

We should start a list of bad Ducati dealers so as to be fair and balanced.

To be fair, they are a BMW dealer as well and that may be the source of the attitude.

That reminds me of the time the squirrel had to get to the #1 Ducati Dealer before close. He ran across country as fast as he could. Up steep hills, down steep hills, across a creek. He was panting as he approached the train tracks. Across was the #1 Ducati dealer, but a train was fast approaching. Without thinking our squirrel darted across the tracks and the train ran over his tail, slicing it off. Squirrel thought, Dammit I need my bushy tail and turned quickly to grab it. The next train wheel sliced off his head. The moral, don't lose your head over a piece of tail...

This thread went weird. I think it's my most popular thread and no photo of a bike in sight. It's kept BB's attention for a few days even.

I'm not going to post the name of the dealership, I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences at dealerships. Like I said, I've been in there 3-4 times and never felt welcome....but this was the first time an employee was just flat out rude. Seems kinda strange also that I show up on a near mint 1984 Interceptor and not a single employee even notices it. Not that that's the reason I went there, but you would think if they were motorcycle people they would at least notice it?

I think I'll go back on a Saturday (when that guy isn't there) and see how I'm treated. Maybe I'll start swinging by there all the time and filling a thermos with coffee and leaving. Purposefully not saying a word to any of the employees. It's very close to my house so it would be faster to run by there and get coffee than it would be to make my own at home....win win. I bet their coffee sucks....but maybe not. He did get VERY upset when he was interrupted by the phone call during getting coffee so maybe it's a serious thing to them.

Ya. Show up in your housecoat and slippers, unshaven with a smoke hanging out of the corner of your mouth. Just to add some character, scratch your nuts whenever someone looks at you and drop the occasional bum burp.

If I say pretty please will you post the name of the dealership? Without some third party evidence supporting your OP the whole issue could be BS. In response to your question aboot ill treatment in any dealership Honda or otherwise, I have and have the balls to let them know right away that that shit don't fly.

    The alternative:

Damn....BB figured it out....I'm making it all up.

I went to the local Kaw dealer also last week, they are very friendly and had lots of info on the bikes I was looking at. I didn't even ask, sales guy just started talking with me about the bike I was looking at. Too bad they are MSRP and I don't think they will discount either. The bike I was looking at is $11,999....but a short 35 minute drive north and a dealer has one for $10,499.
