    Hi,
I'm thinking about upgrading/replacing the stock horn on my 2010 VFR 1200.
Does anyone have any ideas on what works on that specific bike and what is pretty easy to install?

    Thank you in advance

I've got a wolo bad boy (basically same as stebel nautilus). Fit under the right hand fairing on my bike. Has paid for itself twice now.

Check out this kit, it allows you to use the stock horn and a loud Stebel type horn but also gives you the ability to tie into the high beams so they flash when you lay on the horn.

Stebel Nautilus. Hands down best I ever bought. Had one on my ST1100. The sound is priceless.

Great review on the horn site. Kind of reminds me of the dude who never got laid reviewing Nevada whorehouses.

Horns are 12 volts on most cars unless you are still driving a 1948 Ford. Most horns are aboot the same size. and fitment can be done half a dozen ways. Got the horn on the mach 1 91 off a caddy in a wrecking yard and the horn on the BMW off a Dodge pickup. Both are very unapologetic and enjoy frequent use.

Always wanted to affix a horn from a diesel/electric locomotive to a Harley and make Tshirts that say "Loud horns are for Honkies" .

When I installed mine was heading S on the I-5 and with finger ready waiting for a distracted phone welding cager, had a mini van to my right and just got over, didn't even move her head to look......I blasted on that puppy and I swear she almost made a hard right turn....felt sooo good. Use it daily when splitting lanes, just a tap on the button to let the line hugger know I'm a comin threw, not the type to be doin mach two threw traffic crawling at 35

+ 1 for the Stebel Nautilus Compact.
    Best $40 I've ever spent.

Some earlier Euro cars are wired this way from the factory. Some export models have the wiring in place but its not hooked up.

Reference: my 66 Mercedes that is hooked up..

I would suggest that the legality of the Screaming Banshee horn/highbeam combo be checked out. Or not used too much since IMO this is a function that could be overused and ya might run into some dude like that asshole in Kentucky in the pickup who was trying to off the dude on the bike.

I would not suggest using this system in school zones either..

For you non electrical types, you need to use a relay with the bigger horns.

A quick look at those Banshee horns looks as if they come in several complete configurations. The vids make it all look easy but we know better eh!

    Hi all

Has anyone installed a Wolo, Stebel or a Screaming Banshee on 2014 VFR? I have been trying to figure out a place but the places that are available on the older models are not an option on the newer models.

Your thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Sean

I used plumbers tape, it's a roll of aluminum with holes, attached the Steble to it then wrapped it around the mounting bracket for the fairing. ..you can see it threw the space between my tank and fairing.
Plus added a few zip ties....been on my bike going on 5 years..no problems.
May give you an idea, only have really looked at the 14 once.....hope this helps.

I have the wiring harness and the plumbing strap metal - it's a location. The 2014/15 models have been streamlined and the locations used on previous are not a viable solution for the newer models.

Every time I thought I had a location it turned to be a bust because lack of space

This looks to be a very well built horn. Talked to the guys at Twisted and they have done side by side with the Stebel and the Denali is substantially louder and uses a bracket to hold the 2 pieces together as opposed to the glued Stebel. Has anyone tried to mount inside of a 800? Twisted did not have any nores on that but think it might fit. If not they are getting a 2 piece Denali in April that would fit.
