Don't mean to revive this thread or highjack it but since we're talking about accidents, I have one I like to share:
Back in the days when I first started riding (1991), I rear ended a car waiting to make a left hand turn. That catapulted my buddy on the back seat over the car, fortunately he only had bruised heels=he landed on his feet! I hit the gas tank hard! Enough to lodge my right testicle in my lower abdomen. That earned me 1 week stay in the hospital after having surgery to push it back to where it belong. And there are no side-effects to my injury, only a bruised ego & body part, which is still functional...
Sorry, no pics to back my story up but I do have a scar that I can show if anyone is interested :biggrin-new:

Yea I had the bike fall on my foot at zero speed and used my foot as a slider-lucky the gas tank wasn't full. My big boot saved my foot, but it did swell up a bit. I figured out -I need to do some mods to adj the bike so I could ride better. I just had the seat cut down one inch and got one R+G slider and the new cooler bottle. Next time it would hit the slider and not my foot-not riding right now due to mods and taxes-that hit me-have to wait till march till I ride again-in mean time I am moding the bike a bit!:potstir:

That right there made my rectal muscles cramp.

Aaaahhhm. Not necessary. We will believe you. But....VFRWorld wants to know. How long did it take you to get up the nerve to venture out to use those jewels again?

Funny you asked. 'Bout 2 or 3 months...My GF at the time thought I broke my hip. The doctor said he'd seen plenty cases like mine (bicycle & motorbike accidents) and men don't really need 2 , 1 can do the job :D

Yes you do. I've been gone for a while and came back to this thread to see how you healed up. So what's the word? Are you 100% again?

If you're a true motorcyclist, you have to have at least one broken collarbone. ...
Mine was beer bong induced. ...does that count?

I am so sorry to hear about your damage but it made me think of the Tolkien line. . .

"Now it is a strange thing, but things that are good to have and days that are good to spend are soon told about, and not much to listen to; while things that are uncomfortable, palpitating, and even gruesome, may make a good tale, and take a deal of telling anyway. "

If nothing else thanks for the tale of adventure. I have lived it vicariously if less painfully.

Duccky, I did the ankle on a drum brake Enfield, total brake fade and clipped a rockbank on the edge of the road, still had to ride 250ks to get home, no left footpeg, changing down was ok but up made my eyes bulge. Hip was when I went to get on the same Enfield to give it a roll start down the hill, sidestand folded up and I fell under the bike, motor not even running. The leg, pissing down rain, struggling to see where I was going, goggles all fogged up, doing about 40kph, miss judged a corner and my footpeg clipped a concrete block at the edge of the road, fold up footpegs on my CB Honda, impact went straight up my leg like a corkscrew and no damage to the bike. In the three cases the total damage to the bikes was less than $50
