Hello all, I could not find any thing in the forum for cleaning our white wheels. I have returned my '86 RWB from the none op. world this past month. I put new Metzler Lazertech tires on, in the stock sizes. After I installed the new tires and balanced them, that's when I noticed they look like CRAP!!! :frown: So if any one has a hot tip, thanks.

I don't know from your post what is discoloring them, but I have a new bike with orange wheels. The first time I went to clean them I used WD40, but noticed orange paint on the towel. Based on a tip from another forum I purchased a spray can of Honda cleaner/polish. It cleaned everything on them, did not remove any paint, and left a wax on them that is resistant to staining. Now chain lube, brake dust, and road grime just wipe off easily. I also have rim decals, and it keeps them clean without causing any damage. I hope this helps.

vf750orig, thanks for reminding me about the uses of the can of MAGIC we all have in our garages. About 1 hr. well spent, the wheels look very good again. It is so nice to have her back on the road. Thanks again for the response!!!

My pleasure, but thank the Repsol Forum, which turned me on to it!

bruise, where did you get it? it's illegal in CA now. I switched to the MRMotorcycle stuff which is supposed to be almost exactly the same without the harmful environmental stuff that caused the ban.
