Long Beach Motorcycle Show

Heading up to the motorcycle show Saturday morning, hopefully will get there fairly early. Any of you local yocals that are interested can shoot me a PM and we can meet during the show for a cocktail and shoot the shit. Taking the cage as that ride up is just boring as hell. My riding buddy Jim (RT 1200) will be in company, but sadly his girl Ginny won't be joining us as she just had a knee replaced this past Monday. Hope to see some of you there.

Hey John,

After telling you that I always go up Saturday, well, this year it appears Sunday will be the day. Please be considerate don't take all the models home with you the first day so I have something to look at....at least a few fatties left behind would suffice.

Sorry Roy, didn't take any pics, also was never able to hook up with Daryl, James and OClandspeeder. My buddie
and I stopped for a great breakfast in Rainbow (near Fallrook) and ended up getting to the show kind of late. Then it was loud enough in that place that we never heard the text's come through from the guys when sent them and were always a step behind in meeting up. Will have to do another meet, greet, eat and ride in 2015. The good news is I got a good deal on a new jacket, and bought some "magic metal polish and sealer" ,it's the best snake oil ever invented! They promised!

So...I am rolling up to the bikeshow looking for some hookers in LB, and what do I find? Some drunk redneck walking around the more colorful areas of Wilmington and San Pedro...so I felt sorry for the lad as he reeked of alcohol & piss, hair was all messed up...so I did what any red-blooded american would do...I picked him up and fed him a burger...

Long Beach Convention Center Entrance. I guess santa is gift hunting a lil early this year???

Then I plopped him on some motorcycles so he could feel badass and go "I'LL BE BOOOOCK!"

We strolled around some more and happened to bump into this lad....Mr Jay Leno himself!

For those skeptical, the CHIN doesn't lie...

After that, we gawked, drooled, and dreamed of owning some of the many...

Long' s dreambike....he was right, small saddlebags, only four beer capacity... out:

Then as we chilled and I ate a $5 hotdog, we saws an Eagle Rider display with chairs....hmmmmm...who could be coming? Let's see shall we?

Who could dat be?

Mr Charlie Boorman and Russ Malkin from Long Way Round" and "Long way Down." Charlie was a very funny guy. Great story teller, and very nice...colorful language too. Reggie and I got to ask him questions about the movie. It was great.

Reggie, Charlie and me. After lengthy discussions, Charlie agreed to a "long way for some 'strange' " starring me, him, Reg, and Long as the wacky camera man! We told him we work for beer and womenz, and he said "you're hired!" Eat your heart out Ewan Mcgregor!":thumbsup:

All this celebrity excitement wore my lil redneck buddy out...he can't hang yo! :sleeping:
