Well, it's kinda gold and I was winging it some. ;) I had two harleydoods tell me within a couple of days of one another that they only used the rear wheel brake. Two more in the last few days makes me think that these dudes are serious.

Even the "company" offers MSF training.

My Call: What save that guy's ass was the jam up ahead of the semi and the other vehicle resulting in a low speed. Even at 25-30 MPH those truck tires would have mashed him and his bike.

What could be fun is to post this "event" on a couple of harleydood forums and get a laugh out of them blaming it on the semi driver, the lady on the sportbike , the Japanese or the gay dudes that design freeways. ;)

...and yes. that new Honda struck oot!

I used to hear that "I only use the rear brake" crap all the time many years ago. I truly thought that kind of messed up thinking was long gone.

Then again, if you look at the curves at someplace like Tail of the Dragon, you'll see a lot of single black skid marks running off the road. So apparently there are still a lot of people that just aren't comfortable using their front brakes, and stomp on the rear brake when they get in a bind.

The NM4 is a CTX 700 in wolf's clothing, but the bite isn't any better.

Yeah, those Harley guys were idiots. but you gotta be a special kind of doucher to drive your house down twisty roads like that and hold up traffic. RV's are the worst.

They love their back brakes don't they. I was talking to a Harley guy who was saying he had to get his rear brakes changed again. I asked him how many times he had to change the rear brakes as it was a fairly new bike. He said it was his 3rd set. I asked how many on the front, he said never they were like new. I just said oh and walked away.

In one of those never to be found sales tallies, it would be interesting to see januwine HD/PRC rear pads vs front pads sold in a given year with a correction figured in for those "useless" two rotors that are there to keep the bikes from doing wheelies in every gear.

The term "Had to lay her down" was invented by a guy with a huge rear brake pedal on a half ton Harley.

I must not be the target market, because if my only choice of motorcycles were those aesthetically horrid futuristic designs of low riding angular plastic that Honda seems to think is de rigeur, I'd just drive my car.

We'll for what its worth!....... I have bud I ride with who has the NM4 and HE loves it!! So he is either on a Vultas or a 2014 CBR600RR when where out in the country. It does get positive remarks from bystanders and its got a good seating position. Its not my type of bike but somebody likes it, it kind of grows on you! LOL!
But it has a few details that make go WTF. I've seen the get its S*&t together on the highway. I think its a bike to convert scooter folks to true motorcycles.

In the youtube vid (post #55) one of the more interesting comments was how people in cars move out of the way. Apparently mistaking it for a police vehicle.
