Can the VFR goodies fit in/on the VF engine block & trans?
    -Get 6th gear
    -Get cam gears
-Use VFR cam in VF head/straight VFR cam & head?

The VFR has one cam lobe per valve and the VF has one cam lobe per 2 valves, and used forked rocker arms to actuate said valves. I am not sure what the possibility of putting a whole engine in would be like? Probably not, or we'd have seen a few by now!

I have a VF with VFR engine build into it standing in the shed. It just doesn't look right. Better build a nice VFR rc24

I like the look of the '83 housing. I was thinking more of bolt the VFR heads on, swap pistons, rods and crank [shop manual clearances match up, but dimensions are still unknown for comparison].
Was considering modifying to six speed, but the VR housing would have to be lengthened. If I had access to a machine shop still I would consider attempting it. Settling on swapping out VFR 6th gear to VR 5th [again, shop manual clearances good].

Trying to get number matching sleeper with VFR performance [Head/Valve cover design is different, but the performance increase is worth the possibility]

VFR sixth gear will not mesh with the VF gear lock [VFR is 4 prong lock where VF is 3 or 6]. Magna/Sabre 5th gear matches up though, this would make the trans geared for ~165mph over the 138mph original top speed. The shift gap would be equivalent to the 2nd-3rd gear shift.

    Torque [ft*lbs] with gearing/rpm estimate
    _______55mph______70mph
    OEM 104/~4303____118/~5477
    Mod 78 /~3594_____90/~4574
