Hi all. Does anyone know of a low profile number plate light, preferably LED?
My '05 had the fender shortened before I bought it, and has no plate light.

    TIA

You could wire in some electropods. They should be bright enough to light the plate up. You might have to make an L-bracket or something so that they are shining down on the plate, tho.

    Plate lite

Well it's a little expensive but I bought those goofy led mirror blinker indicators at Autozone. I think they were about 27$ boogs. I installed them on my Jeep and decided they looked stupid.....so I took'em off.....so I just had them laying around.... I cut the rear fender off so there wasn't a plate lite, or rear reflector......and failed state inspection with flying colors..... Although it's amber, it lites up bright.....and the best thing... it sticks flat to the surface just under the rear brake light. I worked great, but I've since installed an underseat exhaust system, and had to remove the led. Now I have both amber lights stuck way up under the subframe. You can't seem them in plain sight, but they light up the plate nicely at nite.

I've always wondered if those automobile hood washer fluid lights would work. They seem to be pretty inexpensive.

There are also several places that sell bolts, either plain or with some sort of designed head (skull, 8 ball, bullet, etc.) that have a very small LED light built into them. You replace the bolts holding your plate with a couple of those and your plate is seemingly lit from nowhere. The light is such that it only comes out of about 45 degrees or so of the bolt, so you aim them just at your plate.
