Hello all. I am new to the site, but have been a VFR rider for some time. I live in Colorado, which sucks in some respects, but the twisties are only a ride away. I ride a 98 VFR 800 in "Honda Red" and have about 33,000 miles on the clock so far. I have a Two Brothers slip on, Corbin seat and Heli bars for the longer rides. I hope to gather some new info and maybe share some of the lessons that I have learned.

    Keep it shiny side up!!!!!

Welcome to the group. Nice list of mods too. How is the TB slip on holding up?

Thanks. The can is doing well. There are some scratch marks on the outside from the strap mount. The protective fabric that they put under the strap and around the can degrades and causes it to scratch. The sound is great, although I removed it the other day and ran with a straight pipe. That sounded incredible, but I am sure my neighbors didn't appreciate it!!!!!!

Hi - I spent about 2 months in Denver for business with a rental car and no bike. Beautiful place. If I ever get back there a bike is a must! Maybe you can shed some like on your Rockies rides.

My rides a '98 too - much modified.

    Welcome to the group.

If you get back in town, I have some rides that will keep you smiling for a month. There are several close to the metro area that are a blast. Weekdays are a must though, too many weekend warriors out on Sat or Sun. The local county cops are out in force on the weekends as well, as too many tools have left body parts behind on the pavement. What other mods have you done to your bike????

    Well, since you asked......

Also - I recently added 4th gen clip-on, in place of the stock 5th's. They are about an inch lower than stock. Highly recommended if you are a performance corner carver. The difference is suttle, but I feel like I can get down over the front wheel now and in more control --- hell in "command". Easier to hang off too. I like it!
