 weird, My '04 p/u 3 - 5 mpg with the PC & My '06 Triumph sprint also p/u 5 mpg with the PC instalation, but then again mine were Dyno Tuned installed (which I highly suggest on all bikes).

No lag any more & crisper accelerations as well :first: .

Stick that puppy on a good dyno guy's dyno & have it done right the 1st time, it's money well spent  !

Okay, so a little update. I played with the low rpm buttons and after only 1/2 tank of gas I'm back closer to stock mpg. A little sluggish off the line but I just got 110 miles on just over 1/2 a tank. I was at 153 miles on my last tank when the fuel light started to blink. I lowered the low rpm button by 3 clicks...

I'm frequently getting over 400km from a full tank on my '00, it went onto reserve tonight at 355-360km. Bike is stock except for a Staintune pipe.

Well, another update if anyone is interested. With my power commander all set in the middle, except for the low knocked down two clicks, I'm now getting 38mpg, up from about 28/30... Pretty major increase in mpg. A little sluggish at times on the gas, so I will play with it a bit more.

    Just an fyi update.

I just returned from a 2 1/2 day, 1000+ mile trip on my 2005 VFR and averaged between 40 and 42 MPG's steady throttle. When we really hit the twisties, my average went down to about 36. That's with a PCIII USB and Two Brothers Racing Carbon single exhaust.

Photo_grphr, it sounds like you are getting closer to the target!

YO Cgssportbike, Do you have a custom map in your pc3,or are you using the stock recommended map from the package? I have a 2k vfr and just installed a pc3 with the factory power commander map, you know the one thats supposed to get you close,my plugs seem a little dark, but the bike seems to run well. I have not done a fuel milage test as of yet. eddie cap

Those buttons allow you to incrementally adjust how lean or rich the fuel delivery is by 2%, breaks the RPM range down into thirds for adjustment. Sounds like you leaned it up. Having a PC to customize the map yourself is easier, but in the absence of a PC this is the next best route.

Where do you keep your read outs? How many notches above and below are you keeping yours at?

For a test, I slid all three of my sections towards to the top. At this settting I'm set to get about 100 miles on a tank of gas.... OUCH! It runs fast, but...

Curious where you set yours?, the low, mid and high.

    thanks.

I've only tweaked with mine through the PC. I can use the stock map it came with as a baseline and try and calculate my changes into "button settings" this weekend and give you an idea. Generally speaking though, I've been leaning things up across the RPM range - not by much though.

Keep in mind my changes won't work for you exactly, a 2005 VFR has different VTEC engagement and disengagement points as compared to 2006 models and newer.
