I think this should have been posted in the "Thin Skinned Forum" not 7th Generation 2010 to present.

 

OP, sorry, but you need to thicken up your skin a tad. The world is full of people with opinions and statements that we tend to disagree with, but we have the right to ignore them.

Word to the wise, the more that you and others ignore this individual, the more steam that they lose to continue with their antics if they do not have an audience. They only thrive off of your misery, reactions, and responses. Take this away, and you take away a lot of their ammo, and they tend to back off or disappear. Besides, if they are banned, they will most likely just come back under another handle 10 minutes later.

I used to have them. But then I got married and they were taken away. But twice a year, for 4-5 days at a clip, said balls are returned to me for my annual fishing trips with the boys.

In my country most trolls are revealed as grossly overweight, spotty, greasy-haired and mentally ill. When confronted they often pull a mask over their face to avoid identification then slink back to their cyber-sewer. When confronted face to face most are exposed as the inadequate cowards they are. I wonder if it's the same in the USA.

Free speech is a bitch. You have to be able to take the good with the bad, in order to have a free flow of ideas. I'll stand with the rambling, antagonizing a**holes just to keep the conversation free of censorship.

A note to all VFRW:

A number of years ago, a brand new moto rider stumbled upon a shiny yellow VFR in a hangar at an airport. He knew NOTHING about VFRs and very little about motorcycles in general. A quick Google search yielded two sites devoted to VFRs. The first one was super informative and even slightly entertaining. That is, until he posted his first genuine question. It probably had something to do with tires or oil, but may have had something to do with comparing the RC46 and our beloved VFR.
This ridiculous yet genuinely innocent question was met with scoffing, disdain, and outright rejection. The uptight members of that forum were too superior to even honor the question with a simple answer.
The second forum was much more inviting and welcoming to newbs of all types. They even offered advice on other motos than the VFR. So the youngun in question spent hours and hours every day on the site learning as much as he could about his new treasure. As time passed, he even began contributing to the site. Some of what he had to say was rubbish. Some meant nothing at all. But because he chose to put forth some effort at being included, he was just that. INCLUDED.

Over the years this site has seen pros, cons, experts, a true genius or two and...plenty of BOZOs.

The owner and moderators discuss the BOZOs when they begin to rankle and annoy. The consensus is usually to let them go on being BOZOs and let the the general membership learn how to be adults and handle their own behavior as they have been taught to do in real life.

Yes, there are BOZOs here. But there are tons of truly cool people who love riding, love VFRs, and get along with each other. They even go out of their way to help each other out.

So, as you travel the halls of VFRW, keep in mind that we are not perfect but we have lots to offer. We also very much enjoy your input in the site. As you communicate with each other, keep in mind that we were all new here once. Those that came before us accepted us and made us feel like sticking around. As you encounter newer folks than yourself, try to be like the guys that made you want to stick around.

It's not rocket surgery. Ride your own ride.

I'm with randy on this one. I don't like thin-skinned people or forums.
I may get under some member's skin, some may get under mine, but in the end, this is a fun and educational forum.
Took me some time to be active on this forum even though I have nothing to contribute, and wouldn't like it if it turns out to be all serious and polite.
