When this question first came up, about 5 years ago over at VFRD, I started looking for OEM signals mirrors.

I finally settled on Honda Blackbird OEM mirrors. I made my own delrin adapters to mate the mirrors to my windshield, painted to match in glossy black. Now I have signal mirrors with running lights, factory.

Other mirrors out there. Triumph Sprint, Ducati, GSXR, and CBR1000.

Did not really like the GSXR and CBR ones, looked cheap.

Bought a set of Triumphs. Kinda strange as they go up and out in an arc, but well made.

Bought a set of Ducatis for a one off as they bolt to the side of the fairing low and you look down and out under your arm, but well made.

So, nothing for your bike, get inventive. That's why the adapters over at VFRD. Or make your own.

OH, if anyone is interested, the Triumph mirrors are available.

Also have a set of BMW 1150 R mirrors available. Nice design, but no lights. Thought about having LEDs added and mounting them as I really like the stalk design.

Those ARE kinda nice. I especially like that they are rounded at the end like an actual bike mirror, not cut and angular, sacrificing glass for racer-boy sharp angular alleged "coolness".

Not sure the lights have grown on me yet though.

Were you referring to the mirrors I linked? As long as the build quality is OK they're essentially OEM with slightly strange looking indys

Update on my mirror search. Went to my local bike shop and looked at lots of bike (rather large shop). Number one item of concern was fairing mounting angle. None of the new bikes I viewed had a fairing mounting angle even close to our VFR. Found a couple mirrors that looked acceptable from the "looks" standpoint, but they just wouldn't work.

Fast forward to this week. ---> Made a stop at Del Amo Motorsports in Redondo Beach CA. (As I always do when in the area. They don't care if I drool on the bikes. hehehe) They had an aftermarket display of various product by "Rizoma". They has some mirrors that were awesome in my book, until I saw the price. $300 for one mirror, and that didn't include the required adapter specifically for our bike. All said and done, it would be around $750 after tax and such. Ridiculously expensive, but they did look sweet!!!

    Still searching.

I know those guys @ Del Amo pretty well. They are high price-wise on some stuff, but still sounds like we won't get a deal on that set-up. Not even close.

Went and looked up the Rizoma line. Pretty, expensive, and short. That's something you need to consider, or you'll be looking at your elbows all day.

Maybe the end parts, but as discussed before, the angle of the base is all wrong

Bringing up on old thread again I know but I SHOULD be getting THESE MIRRORS soon. I was wondering if anyone knows that gauge of the indicator wires on the harness? Basically I'm going to solder some wire to the harness, use some of THESE for a quick disconnect for when I need to take the mirrors off. Then have the mirror wires on the other end of course.

I would be happy just to have a mirrors that aren't broken, you got two and the vfr has good turn signals all ready. I would get a 520 chain instead.

I am not familiar with the amount of current these would draw, but if they are LED, it would be minimal. 18 gauge would more than suffice, easy to work with.

I quite often find people don't see my front signals due to how relatively low they are. Another set of lights can never be a bad thing for being seen if you ask me. If you're wanting some mirrors try the ones I linked :)

Well, trying to help you out. I posted a set of OEM GSXR turn mirrors in the classified.

Again, easiest thiung to do is make adapters to go from horizontal mounts (VFR) to vertical (GSXR) and mount. GSXR are only 2 wire, so unless you want to get creative, just hook up turn signals.

And I still have the Triumph mirrors available, if you want something different.

16 is heavier than 18, more than adequate.
