pretty hysterical, all them "rooskiess" run dash board cams because of mega-scams I heard. Amazing how some of those bikes slid, the last doode musta been SOW or someone related, musta been drinking some Popov or something too :drinkers: Maybe Russian people have trouble with two wheels? Great vid

How come I dropped my bike four times yet, very minor damage occurred with not a scratch on the fairing?

If you want to talk pads,

Look up GOLDfren. They're czech, and I know that's a source of more than a little bit of skepticism, HOWEVER. I'm on my 2nd set and on my 2nd bike, and I have to say, they put up with a LOT of shit. a lot. Trackday like abuse in temps in 100* or so, check. cold hard stops in rain, check. long tours, check.

if you really want tailored pads, Look. Them. Up.

I run S3 up front, and AD out back. They don't make a compound that isn't HH rated. They also will not break your bank. Pretty handy bit of info, and their temp and wear charts will help illustrate these points I'm making. unless you're too busy worrying that spending 120 dollars on pads so you can say you run EBC when you change them, I guess that's cool too.

    http://www.goldfrenusa.com/

I kit my bike up with S3/AD GOLDfren brakes for 65-70 bucks.
Means even if I'm track day beating it I can freshen them up 2:1 over EBC spec brakes. I call that pretty damned good.

I once bought some organic pads on my old GSX650F and did all the right things. re scuffed the disk in with 120grit sandpaper, installed the pads, took it out and made 10 standard stops, then made about 5 or so hard stops from about 40.

I then went out to my usual stomping grounds and tried to figure out just how good they were compared to the stock pads with about 2-3 mm left on them (wasted).
Long story short, I limped the bike back to the house because the cheap ebay pads broke down and MELTED OFF THE BACKPLATES.

    SO!

Believe me when I say GOLDfren puts up with some shit ahaha

The only thing I will caution you lot with. I've noticed running S3 up front on the VFR is I'm not sure if it's the contents of the pads, or heat generation, both? or what, but my front disks have yellowed up slightly. it's just a tinge of color, and I'm used to looking at it now, but it's just what I've noticed. they still suck my eyeballs out of my head when I clamp the levers down, so I really don't care. You might though.

89 and sea foam? JP-5 and two cans of starter fluid works better for removing lean running condition

I really tried that "look where you want to go" but the tightie pulled up her skirt, her boyfriend gave me a black eye, my wife no longer speaks to me, and the police arrested me for fornicating in the dark in bushes outside miss tightie's bedroom window.

that's techron and seafoam are not to get rid of lean condition-only keep the injectors and the combustion chamber super clean-it might help some however.

perhaps the ad pads would be better, but I look at the s3 chart and it looked like the pads would work well under any situation-its more metal type pads -ad have less metal in them and don't look like they would stop as good. EBC is good pad but may eat up the rotors faster-just a guess.

Ad pads are GREAT. I just was planning on possibly track daying the vfr. The extra heat tolerance would be some piece of mind. Ad will absolutely work tho.

Id rather err on the side of gentle rear brake wise. Threshold braking on just my right hand wkth a healthy dose of engine, if I breathe on the rear pedal with ad pads the rear hops and chatters. I dont want a more aggressive compound than ad on the rear. I think that s3 likely has more initial bite than ad as well. So I steered clear as far as rear fitment.

You know "son", if you had been here a little longer, you would have realized I really have not changed much over the years. So I'm not really turning into anyone's likeness. I'm sure you just made bb cringe though. I can be ignored if you like.

On a abs bike, I would use 3s on front and rear-they look to be much better pads than ebc hh.
