Well my sliders get a work out-no damage at all except to my ego. Coming around a corner making a sharp turn, a car happens to come around. I was almost in my turn, I had to stop on a slanted road, over I go-Harley dud rides his bike over fast and picks up the bike for me-I help a little, it happened to be a biker bar. That's three slider saves for the R+G-proven excellent by me. I don't know if my folding levers came into play. Just a tiny scratch on puck. My fairing would be all screwed up if the pucks weren't there-not one scratch on fairing. Oh well at least my new shoria battery seems to be working perfect. Tomorrow I pick up the pipercross air filter. All I got to say 6 foot+:bug:Harley Guys are super strong pushing those super heavy bikes around. That's four VFR drops all at zero speed.

That's the brother/sisterhood at work - helping each other out when need be.

An old neighbour of mine was new to riding and drove her bike into the ditch and a HD rider stopped to help her out and make sure she's ok (she was, a small bruise and that was it - rather lucky!) - FD shows up and the driver forgot to put on the e-brake.. FD guys get out of truck and the FD truck rolls into the HD!! Crushes it... to make matters worse, apparently the frame of the HD once belonged to Dan Aykroyd. Man I couldn't imagine! I don't know how extensive the damage was to the HD but what a piss off that would have been!

Thats why they gota eat their franks/beans/turkey legs/beer. To pick up/and push around them heavy arse bikes. Nice to see a fellow lend a hand to a fallen biker though. That FD story with the e-brake is classic though.

I went to a shop I used to work in, I did'nt think anything of parking on a hill behind a customer with a service plumming truck. I even said "hi" to him as I walked by him. He could see the bike I thought, but in the back of my mind, I was thinking, "should I move the bike?" Well, the fuker got in that truck and backed up, my viffer was on a hill, so when he backed up, he kissed the front wheel and pushed it back withoot the bike falling over. Ended up splitting the front fender and bent the side stand all of which he paid for, bike was deemed un-damaged by my boss and I remember having to ride it back in the rain that night at 125mph and also deemed it "still swell." :loco: Cheers. Rubber side down

That's why I see little point in buying anything new, all but one of those drops were rt hand turns at too slow a speed, it seems when the bike is going real slow there is nothing holding up the bike from falling over-t6hose r+g sliders are well worth the dough-I added folding levers too-I broke one stock lever. Sliders seem too work very well on this bike.

SOW - Its time to consider a Ninja 500. You are not man enough to handle a VFR. You've single-handily increased the weakling factor of VFRworld exponentially.

Proof positive that no good deed goes unpunished, there's also the incident at R3 this year with Tori's broken arm! The guys stopped to see if a BMW rider on the side of the road needed help and BAM! collision, busted arm, downed bike and to add insult to injury (literally) the rider just took off and never said a word!

Right on, if you cannot pick up your bike by yourself, then it's time to hit the Gym or get a lighter bike. A few weekends ago, our "newbie" rider dropped his bike and rather than lift it for him, we showed him the best way to lift it. He was successful on his own and was grateful for the advise, oh it was a little Ninja too, what a coincidence!

If you feel the bike is falling into turns at lower speeds, try riding the rear brake. If you added a Ninja High Five to your collection, you would not be a "lesser man" :pound:

I don't want to lift a 500 pound bike, unless I can't find a Harley Dude to lift it for me.:pout:

It sucks picking up any motorcycle period. Could suck less if its a TZ-RS 125/250 or even a YSR50. If you dropped your Ninjette 250 it sucks, so that being sed, you gota think aboot it. Thats abstruse huh.

didn't fall down today:whoops:, but all most got a speeding ticket testing that pipercross air filter seems to work really good. It added a Few HP for sure-going to run 89 shell only now with techron and a dash of seafoam. Pipercross has a bigger filter area and foam flows better and also keeps dirt out better too. I will check it out in a thousand miles and see how it is doing. it seems like a different engine, no more Mr. :nelson::fish::strong:Nice guy.

How aboot a report at say 10,000 miles and include how many times you dumped the bike. Big numbers are always impressive.

^I have seen that bacon rodeo from japan, total RIOT. They were running handle bars though, I don't think they could pull off some of that chit with clip-ons. Cheers, watch oot for a dash of "sea-foam" in your drinks, I used to just go with a dash of bitters and a whisper of Vermouth, but now its all boring.

I just wave the Vermouth bottle over the martini. Garnish with Seafoam and then slam it.

Sounds like you need to work on your balance issues, the VFR is pretty neutral to me..

Ever watch the Harley doods in the low speed maneuvering contests? Those pigs weigh a lot and even they do not drop the 900lb pigs.
