So over the past few years I've had a couple VFRs.

First one was a 1990 that had a Supertrapp exhaust, Corbin seat, Fox shock and a Givi windscreen

Sold that shortly after. I then bought a very clean 1994 that had a Corbin and a Two Brothers Exhaust (wasn't a fan of that)

I sold that one and today I just picked up this 5th gen:

Owner parked it two years ago. Prior to that he replaced the regulator with an R1 unit. With some fresh fuel, it fired right up.
It needs little things like a passenger side mirror, windscreen and tires.

    Thanks for reading.

What didn't you like about the 3rd or 4th gens, compared to the 5th gen? Those were some beautiful bikes ya had there.

Definitely looks like a candidate for a rodent-infested air box!

    No it's surprisingly OK.

The other bike I recently picked up (97 GSXR1100W) was not though.

You can even see the carcase.

Good job! Looks like a different bike. I also bought a very grubby VFR recently but was really pleased with the way the bodywork and paint shrugged off their age when shown a bit of love and Turtle Wax.
