    What's up guys!

So... A lot has happened since I got back from my TDY.

I was pretty sure I was having some R/R issues... So I bought the roadstercycle kit, and have been cruising around with it for a few days..

Also painted the motorcycle (single stage medium charcoal gray metallic)

Annnnd went to the strip last night and went 11.9 at 115 with a 1.92 60ft (3rd pass at the strip on a bike ever)

    OH.... so the electical issues....

I'm hoping maybe the battery is weak, but when I measure out the voltage from the new R/R I'm getting 14.8 at idle and 14.7-15 at 6k....

But I'm still killing the battery over time. Can the stators have issues that come and go or something?

Have you put higher wattage lamps in headlights? Either bike is drawing more power than system puts out, or you have some corroded connectors or terminals somewhere, not letting full current get to battery. You maybe measuring correct voltage, which will pass through poor connection, but not the required charging current. How old is battery? Maybe it is not holding charge.

Those numbers are actually kinda high. Sounds like you're overcharging and killing the batteries.

everything I read said those numbers are right on

I'm thinking the stator is going bad. Anyone have any ideas on a good brand to go with?

15 volts is pretty high and isn't good for for the battery and can lead to a shorter life.

Only go with an oem stator. I had an electrosport system that was putting out 17 volts. I also test out a ricks stator that was out putting 90 volts ac instead of the oem 60 vac. THAT 50% MORE!!! that will cook an rr in no time!

Where did you measure the voltage? At battery terminals or at output of R/R? 14.2 vdc @4K rpm is to spec.

How old is your battery? If r/r is putting out spec voltage, either connectors not letting current charge battery or battery has seen better days.

I bought the battery in feb. It's been killed several times due to the old R/R
