I checked out the parts list and the only thing I am missing is the hardware bolts that came with the install Kit-is this going to be a major problem? I know I can use some of the bolts on the bike, but are there some that I could have a problem with or could I just go to the hard ware store and substitute bolts?

Are you missing all of the bolts? I don't recall any of them being particularly unique, you can check the instructions which list them. If you don't have the instructions, you can find them on VFRD. I'm pretty sure you get what you need from a hardware retailer online or maybe at a hardware store. Do you have the measurements you need?

I looked on ebay at installing hardware and it looked like the bolt package is missing-everything else is there so I maybe lucky its only the bolt package missing?

As nearfreezing said, you can get what you need at just about any hardware store. Just make sure you get the blackened ones. They are coated with something to withstand the elements of weather. A couple dollars will likely get you going. If I were at home, I would send you the install instructions, or even do measurements for you to go out and buy them but I am still out on the road.

If you bought them on ebay, I would get back to the seller and find out where the mounting bolts are. No satisfactory answer, report the vendor to ebay.

I can't really complain too much because I only paid $325 for everything, even though Honda would charge maybe as much as $60 for a bunch of bolts. I am going to let the bike shop put them on-they should have extra bolts and stuff on hand. I will call the guy up maybe he has them , maybe not. Someone was moving and left the bags in his garage, and he was told to sell them for what ever he could get for them. Big long story on how he got the bags. The bags are brand new and the other install stuff is there. The bags are even in the original shipping box. There is a lot of info on the internet on how to install them, but more info is all ways useful. I can't believe what the dealer charges for them.:greedy_dollars:

With missing hardware and some story long story to go with the sale, the bags were probably stolen. The honest thing to do would be to contact all the local shops in a multi state area and see if they have had any burglarys. There might even be a reward.

Get about 20 6mm bolts, nut and lock washers, from 1/4' long to about an inch, I would guess. Most Hondas are made with 6mm. Stainless is nice, socket head better to prevent theft.

I bought the bags from a school teacher , missing a few bolts isn't a big deal. That's a good idea about getting those bolts. That should make the bike shops job easy. I all ways ignore Bad Billy comments-they go directly in the trash Bin:smokin::mmph:

It is well known that both Charles Manson and Adolph Hitler were schooteachers.
