    Still to this day 14 years later I regret ever selling that bike. Love my 6 gen but miss the hell out of that ride. OOTVS has one and two VFR'S....best of all three worlds

    All I can say is that they'll have to pry that SS away from my dead hands! Another friend of mine sold his SS and also regrets it to this day and he sold it 10 years ago!

    You're right... there's likely no way I would ever part w/ the NC. The only thing I could see is adding another NC that is more minty (mine is well run-in so to speak) so I could have it on display inside the house. :smile-new:

    I still think the r1 was one of my fav all out super sport, it was very comfy for a super sport, had a glorious exhaust note with the GYTR pipes and had amazing suspension and awesome power delivery soo much that I entered a corner so hot I ran out of talent once the turn got tighter and low sided doing 70mph. Insurance totaled the beast...I shall miss her. It was one of the few bikes I didn't find intimidating to ride fast and hard, it was confidence inspiring...unfortunately a little too much.

    On-off road "Enduro" and street only types:

    '72 Yamaha LT1 100 Enduro, ridden from '72-4.
    '71 Yam R5 350 street twin, '75-6.
    '76 Yam RD 400, '76-9.
    '71 Suzuki T500 street twin '78.
    '78 Kawasaki KZ 650C, 4 cyl. '78-81.
    '71 Kawasaki S3 350 triple, '81.
    '71 Yamaha DS7 250 street twin, '82-3.
    '82 Yamaha 650 SpII twin, '84-91 ($200 garage find). Not my "kind" of bike, but it was cheap to own and ride.
