Last weekend my wife and I went to Rosamond to check out the classic bike races on Saturday and while I was walking around the pits I saw this lovely little VFR750F.

It has a 4-2-1 slip on Yosh pipe I believe is the enemy's {Suzuki} and does not belong on a Honda but, it does sound just like the Kerker 4-2-1 slip on my 700F so more power to him.
I have been going to the vintage races at Willow Springs every April for about 12 years now and am already looking forward to next year, this year it was cold and extremely windy with 50-75mph winds blowing constantly but, last year and the year before it was hotter than hell.
You never know what So Cal's spring weather is going to bring.
Anyway, someone is still racing a VFR and now it is a vintage racer, how does that make you feel?

Those little 160s make hella noise but, I go to watch the vintage super bikes, a couple of old timers I know race CB750Fs and CB900Fs out there.
Dennis Parrish is one of the guys I know

The 160's are triples right? Always lusted after the 900F back when I had my 84 Interceptor.

That sure looks like the Kerker collector. Could have just tossed a Yosh can on the end. Also nothing "little" about a 500lb sport bike. :smile-new:

Nice! Still running the 16/18 wheel combo too? Wonder how the tires are working? Thanks for sharing!

I'm running stock setup on mine with some dunlop gt501s. Took it on a fairly aggressive group ride in the twistys recently, enough to scrub out the chicken strips. Didn't feel any loss of traction.

Well, I meant racing with them...if you're putting them through the same pace, then good on ya!

We'll... Probably not a racing pace, lol. But back in the day Ron Haslam took a stock rc24 and did fairly well.

You have to love the CB750/900's. Friend of mine races a CB900f. Has a 985 Wiseco kit, smoothbores, modified frame and suspension. Puts out a 100 hp at the rear wheel. I have raced it and it is certainly not slow. Handles great, and a real blast to ride.

I have GT501's on my CB900F. They grip really well, but what surprises me is they don't last very long. I get more miles out of the rear radial on my GSXR1000 than I do on the 501's. Go figure.
