Hello everyone I recently went on a 20 mile trip and stopped bike, when i tried to restart straight away the battery seemed flat, after one hour the bike turned over perfect and started straight away, I have noticed that my trip meter keeps resetting and also the digital time varies, any thoughts anyone, could it be this rectifier thingy, Steve
Yes Steve! Clock resetting suggests it could indeed be the RR failing or crispy wires/connectors or dying battery or stator! Do the drill (post #9) on this thread http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthre...ator-Stator-failures?highlight=rubo+rectifier which should help you work out what is OK and what is playing up. Then post up the results if you need any help working out what they mean! SkiMad
Rr Hi SkiMad Thanks for link, I think I can follow it, I want to try the RR diode test with my multi meter. any ideas on how I will know which pin is which on my RR, for the diode check, last thing the guy in the video said his multi meter had a diode setting on it I dont think mine does, what setting could I put mine to to check the RR, thanks again for you help, Steve
