I have good news and bad news.

Good news is, I am getting so pumped about this trip again. Can't wait to see my friends down there again and share a brew or 15 again. And more good news, I am bringing more Canajuns down with me. Was just with VFR_AG this morning and he too is getting excited about this trip. HAven't heard hide not tail from ZEN biker recently but assume he is still coming this way and will join us in out ride down there. If he does, man he has me beat for the longest distance to R3. HIs ride is going to be something like 4500 miles round trip depending on the route he takes home. My round trip is going to be longer but he definately id the furthest away.

    The bad news.

VFR_AG has gone and done it. He has taken the leap to the old fuckers way of life. He bought himself a Beamer 1200ST this morning. Hell this thing has heateed grips, heated seats, electric seats that move up and down at the push of a button, on board GPS and radio. And an electric windshield. And a whole pile of other shit that I have already forgotten about. He was worried that he would not be welcome at our affair. I told him not to worry. I assured him it was OK to squat to pee. We will get him a padded, heated toilet seat, some warm milk and crumpits, and a fresh glass to put his fucking dentures into at night time before he goes to bed.....at 8PM.

    Thanks Randy !!!

For what it's worth I still own the Viffer sitting in the garage so I kinda still qualify....she was all prepped for the ride....chain/sprockets/all new oils/brakes/battery I replaced pretty much everything except for the Tupperware... I had big hopes for her last year under me this year, but after 300km on the RT today I have no choice but to retire her to a new corner of the garage for now... I had no idea how easy it is to ride with no wind on me...

PS Randy careful on your level of tom foolery (my old guy word)... when we are rolling 4 hours north of Sacramento and you are looking to swap to relax that A-- to make Tijuana in 24 !!! Insanity....

If we allow the canadians to continue multiplying like this, we'll have to call it "Reggie's Roodhoose roondoop, eh?"

That would be a false assumption. I think we can assume he can't read a calendar. :)

Well, as long as they don't let you ride it down to R3 it should still be intact I reckon. With your track record it might disintegrate before you got here.

After much debate and general use of not so subtle hints, I got my time off. Now if my tax return would come through I will be laughing!

True. He probably does things like tightening bolts on brake calipers.

It's the little things, you know.

Hey I should be heading up there one of the next couple weekends to pick it up. I'll try and let you know ahead of time, but it will be a quick trip up and back I'm sure.

Much to do and not so much time before the BBQ.

It will likely be the first weekend in May.

Yo! Tink! What might someone expect weatherwise crossing the mountains on the I-70 from Nevada to Denver and onward after the Memorial Day long weekend?

Well, if anyone from California is coming through at that time, you can expect snow, sleet, rain... hell you can expect whatever the frozen hells have for weather. You know the ninth circle where Satan is frozen? Expect that.
