Went to change the oil and coolant on by bike. Some of the plastic tabs broke so I ordered what some suggested as a replacement from Amazon. Ordered through them hoping to get my 2 day shipping through the Prime account. It was a no-go and the tabs are supposed to take 3-5 weeks. Went ahead and directly ordered them from the seller and they should be here tomorrow.

The Amazon tabs are listed as a Prime sale. However, the description does say 3-5 weeks for delivery. Under the previous statement it says free two day shipping. My response from Amazon is that it is two day shipping once they receive the item from the distributor.

Should be back on the road Friday. :triumphant:

    Here is the listing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HMZEXSG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Did you try posting in the forums to see if anyone had any extras? You probably could have gotten a few for free from some generous member(s) who had some extras. Last year I had a bunch of extras that I gave away and I'm sure others would do the same.

Amazon says the shipping is free but the tabs are not in stock. If Amazon started charging folks when they finally had the parts in stock that would be a ripoff. Looks like Amazon was being out front aboot it . This is better than some outfits by a longshot.

There are other sources for bike parts and an Amazon order can be cancelled.

    Whats the big deal?

They never mention the tabs are not in stock.

This is a copy and paste of what they have in the description for shipping: "Usually ships within 3 - 5 weeks. •Free Two-day Shipping" In my analytical mind i thought the 3-5 weeks was for non-Prime members.

One of the main reasons people get Prime is because of the two day shipping.

    So, in my opinion, they
-Shouldn't list an item like this as Prime.
-Shouldn’t mention 2-day shipping in the description.
-Should put more information in the description explaining the length of delivery.

And the only reason I'm torqued is I would have had the bike on the road by now if the 2-day shipping had been true.

I'd be torqued too.. Not a "prime" user m'self. My orders are usually more wanted than needed and 25 pesos is easy to blow on Amazon.. For bike stuff use a bike supplier. If its a rush job, try calling and the first question you ask is "Is it in stock"

I got wise to this years ago buying a camera from a reputable supplier. It took almost two months to get it. The reason? they didn't have one and were waiting on a shipment from the manufacturer in Sweden.

This is why they make the "Shit Happens" shirts.. Busted a tab or two too. ;)

C'mon Pedro.....you have to be smarter that than señor. You need to check for availability first, then assume that Amazon cannot ship what they don't have in their possession.

Amazon needs to assume that you have a brain if you are purchasing something from them....or you could just keep blaming your shortcomings on others....makes you feel better at least. Do your homework next time if things are this time-sensitive.
