Here are some pics for you...Note that the rear wheel had a few "nicks" in the outer portion of the rim that the powder coater (Primo Powder Coating, HB Ca.) repaired.

Thanks Jim. I can handle that for you.

It would be great is I could get a piece of that Kenworth and Boeing action on their needs but they go direct just like all the customers including me.

Great try on getting the sympathy vote too. Well done!

I vote for powder coat, but I own a powder coat shop. It will hold up better in the long run (assuming they are done correctly)
You can get pretty much any color you want in powder. pearl whites are no problem, they will just cost more than gloss white. In my shop I start mc wheels at $150 a pair, they go up from there depending on many variables.

JFDR, shoot me your location and I might be able to recommend a coater in your area. Find a small custom coater, they will treat your wheels right, some big industrial shops could care less about how your wheels turn out, or if they get powder in a bearing area. not all are bad, but most big shops have to turn parts fast to make money, therefore cannot take the time to properly prep and mask a wheel.

If anyone wants to check my work out you can see it hear: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mtg-Powder-Coating/213830915356319

LOL Nice Sales pitch! Amway sales school?

Comparing a "small custom coater" as somehow being better that a larger shop or going even further by stating that the larger shops "could care less" is cheesy.

Your shop does great work and I see a shop that needs a website rather than a sales pitch gleaned from a used car lot sales manual.

A ten spot says you are a member of an association of some sort. What you may find is that some of these same large shops are also members and do first class work.

IMO anyone who blindly walks into a high tech operation of any kind without doing some homework and asking a shitload of questions before any money changes hands, has spent too much time on EBAy or rides a Harley..

First off you come across as a dick, go out for a ride or something, and chill out.
Second, the reason I started a powder coating shop was because I was tired of shit work by big shops around me that only gave a crap if I had 1000 widgets that I needed coated. Not sure where you got this sales pitch thing from, I offered to try and help the guy find a local shop that would give him the best quality possible and deal with him on a personal level to find out exactly what he wants, this does not benefit me in any way. My sales pitch at my shop is my work, nothing else is needed. I don't have to talk myself up when a customer comes in the door, because chances are he/she is there because someone else told them to use me. I have no sign on my building, no website, no phone book ad, because I don't need it at this time. As I said in my post, some big shops don't care, never said all of them don't. there are some big shops that truly care about the customer and their work. Check out Streetwerkz in cincinatti, OH, or Snail motorsports in vegas, both are large shops that turn out truly amazing quality and custom work and still have the capabilities to do large runs of parts. In my experience those types of shops are hard to find. And you are right, anyone getting work done should do their homework on whoever they are going to use.

btw you owe me a ten, I don't belong to any kind of association, and don't want to be. I'm just a small time guy trying to get by and put a smile on peoples faces.

Dude, there are powdercoaters from coast to coast and border to borders my stuff goes to a big shop. I got tired of that SOS sales pitch 25 years ago from the boutique chrome shops ect, ect.

As stated the shop I use, powdercoating is just a small part of the services provided. About the only service not provided is flamespray and plasma coating.

Here's the deal, if the shop I use wasn't any good both Kenworth and Boeing and several of the Seattle ship and boat yards plus the US Navy and Coast Guard would drop them like a hot rock.

I got wind of this outfit years ago not for powdercoating but for stripping some chrome plating from a pricy bicycle frame that the customer wanted painted to look like bamboo. Two chrome rings about a half inch thick on the front downtube. The local shop for the Harley crowd, was on Harbor Island a heavy industrial area on the Seattle waterfront. The asshole running the place I suppose thought he spotted turnip truck dirt on my shirt and launched into a sales pitch and then told me it would be $100.00. I networked and found my guys. They took off the chrome and all the paint for ten bucks. I even went back to the same dude with a set of Honda 400 bars that needed rechroming. He was tits up...

Yep, I have a dick and balls too and call em like I see em. Your work is great, your sales pitch is shitty. The operative word here is "axiom". The quote is " I couldn't care less" .

Not a great day for riding. Raining a cow pissing on a flat something or other and wind gusts of 60mph. All that water potentially could wash off all that dirt from the turnip truck and than I'd have to start in with a few questions instead of buying just any sales pitch that comes my way.

BTW your prices are more than fair too..
