    Hey guys just picked up a wrecked 91 yesterday. IMG_20858877954995.jpg IMG_20854605036296.jpg IMG_20851810328044.jpg IMG_20848610132732.jpg

Picked it up for $600. Deal of the week? Anyway just wanted to say hey and show off my find haha. Oh yeah took it for a test drive. Cranks right up no issues. Clean title. Shows like 99k miles but it runs really good so I suspect that it's not the original engine. But who knows?

Where can I find the missing plastics I'll need? Thinking of converting it to naked if I can't find them or they are very expensive.

Welcome to the World. You may have difficulties finding plastics for that age of a bike. I think you are just going to have to be patient and keep searching Craigs List and Ebay. Chinese plastics are available all over the place out there but I haven't heard anyone here praise the quality of them.

I'm not opposed to grafting newer stuff onto it but I wonder if it has been done and how difficult is it?

100k miles on the VFR is nothing to be surprise
Good luck bringing the Ole girl back to life :thumb:
As Randy said the plastic will be tough to find but you are patient and handy I am sure you can get it done.
BTW the left exit exhaust is cool.

It's a Two Brothers and it shows off that sexy single sided swing arm that caught my attention. The more I think about it the more I'm pretty sure I'll put a different rear sub frame and tail section on it. If I can find the plastic bits I need for the fairing by then that'll be great. Otherwise it might get a temporary reversible naked look until I can collect the needed pieces.

Crap... I'd pay $600 just for that left exit exhaust system...

Welcome! It will be tough to find undamaged OEM plastic but there are several places to find aftermarket replacement parts. Although I have no experience with this company, I have heard mixed reviews about them. The only sure thing is that they are located in the US (Vista, CA). Oh, and that left hand exit exhaust and 8 spoke wheel can probably fetch you more than what you paid for the whole bike!

Are they the only ones that make replacement plastics?
Because if I go with them I'll have to have all new plastic because they are one piece pieces.

Probably not the only one, but one of the few to offer them for older VFRs. BTW the Airtech are fiberglass, not that this means much but it is a different type of material from OEM.

In my preliminary search they are the only ones I've seen for my ole VFR. I just don't like their tail. It covers up the passenger seat.
