i recently purchased a 2011 vfr1200 manual version. i test rode a standard auto version and loved it except for the autobox. Now for the problem my bike has had some work done on the saddle to lower it slightly i can get both feet flat on the floor now whereas on the standard bike it was just the balls of my feet. I now get a pain in each groin after only a few minutes so i purchased some adjustable pegs as i quite liked the saddle and its height but cant seem to get a comfy position and be able to operate both levers comfortably. so anyone got any ideas or a standard seat for sale. Thanks

i don't get everyone's passion for modding their high performance bikes to make them more comfortable at a traffic light....i grew up riding MX bikes where you were lucky to get one foot flat on the ground when stopped....i rarely, if ever put both feet down at a stop anyway.....??????

I think you missed the point of my original post, which was the discomfort when RIDING my bike which i put down to the saddle which was lowered compared to the auto version i also tried.I was looking to try a standard seat to see if the comfort level was as when i tried the auto version

Howdy davje, I don't think there is a difference in seat heights between the two versions.

Yes the seat heights are the same. the "lower" seat is actually narrower allowing you to reach to the floor easier

I have ordered a new seat from top sellerie in france just waiting for delivery(another 4 weeks yet) it has the standard dimensions but has red stiching to match bike and a snazzy VFR logo. Hope this sorts the riding position for me. Thanks to all for your help
