Thanks for the compliment on the paintjob and it's OK with me for you to sit on your ass and watch the exceptional. So are you an Islander or like most of the rest of us hop on the ferry in West Seattle and just visit?

Super8 is about as obsolete as single8. However for twenty pesos and change you can get that old film stock transferred to a DVD at Walmart. This would include a ferry ride to the Fauntleroy Docks that's free. I hope your handle isn't some clever wordplay on supperate. IMO there are pussys enough here to go around.

Maybe someday there will be a Walmart on Vashon providing discount shopping. The main grocery (QFC??) has prices that are superette level.

Give it up dude, you are probably too old for her and shorter too. What we might want to hear from Misti is a take on your take that scaring young kids is somehow valuable.

That is one step above being cruel to animals.

I've been a member of several other forums, motorcycle, firearm and car related for years and have come into contact with "keyboard warriors" such as yourself, Billy.. You don't impress me with your lengthy responses and big words.

You prove many things for me..

One, clearly internet porn doesn't excite you anymore so you feel the need to belittle others on a forum that people use to share the common interest of motorcycles. (Either that or its a personal issue that keeps you from enjoying the internet porn)

Two, your delusions of grandeur only make you look like an asshole which, is proven more and more by each post of yours I read.

I'm glad the original poster "misty" I believe it was has taken your jackassery of turning her thread into a total shit show with a light heart and has overlooked you entirely.

Though I may be a "newb" here, it certainly doesn't bother me to speak my mind on these matters. I'm sure you'll quote this with some outrageously long winded post laden with an attempted personal vendetta against me.. Good luck, you won't find shit.

    ...slut, out.

Excellent post fuel. Post count usually does not mean much, content does. Funny I was on another forum tonight and though it is a private invite only one it has grown into a really great community where over the last 7 years we have at least 1 huge party and 2 track day event every year. There is always plenty of jackassery and fun but the amount of knowledge and help that flows there is great. From helping someone to get a job, home for a dog, free parts for your bike, help on an Excel problem, and just general camaraderie. The friends that are still serving and working overseas get out support and sent goodies. Forums can be a great place to learn, help, have fun ect. Most forums don't allow this behavior. Some find harassing more fulfilling than helping.

Check out some of the harleydood porn it's funny what some of them do for entertainment. Be advised some of it is for adults only.

Is this babble you just posted a form letter to fix all those other "warriors" that upset you so? Not to worry, they've heard it all before.

"Vendetta" ? I'm not Italian that I know of. No sluts in my family.

Been a bit since I checked and I have to say that Badbilly derailed a thread that did not deserve it.

Dylan Code used to come on the NESBA track day forum and pose riding questions and videos. Most of the forum participants enjoyed the banter. Was it a advertisement? In a veiled way yes it was, but he was never over the top or pressured people into going to CSS.

What concerns me is BB bemoans the state of rider skill on this forum (and probably the country) then attacks riders who start to ask questions of Misti? Well which way you want it man? inconsistent logic BB and I expect better from you.

Lastly, if someone is chatting with Misti and they somehow think they are getting a date out of it, well fuck them and let'em fall on their face. Geez not everyone is looking to get laid when they talk with a motorcycle instructor.

    BZ

p.s. I know Misti is an actual coach as I saw her at the CSS level I went through.

    Dan,

Best read the whole thing again. The OP started out with a shitload of questions that have been answered so many times that cliche' doesn't even begin to cover, then tell me it doesn't sound like a sales pitch..

Then the Sir Gallahads come to the rescue of the damsel who they think is in distress. Remember too that Galahad ended up boffing Guinevere . Good thing the good king had put Excalber back in that rock. Come to think of it, Galahad was French and all that shit between the Brits and the French got started with a piece of tail according to the tale.

Sure she's got chops but that does not equate to having communication skills.

From between the lines, BB's top ten and bottom ten intro entre's.

    Dudes! As a former:

    2. Top Gun graduate

    7,Moto GP Champion
    8. Psychiatrist

    9. President of harleydoods for Jesus
    10. President of harleydoods agin Jesus

I know a couple of instructors that even the baddest of the bad might find a little hard to hold down when those carnal desires crop up.

Numero 7 was left out on purpose so the bean counters will have a chance to jump in with even more BS..

    Cheers..

Can we just talk about motorcycle riding in general and VFR riding in particular and leave off the playground banter?

Somebody should quote Rodney King or Hunter S. Thompson or Oprah before it's too late.

I've read the whole thread and everything seems pretty cordial until just recently. The Internet is just words on a screen and those words have no power to hurt unless you give them that power. Unlike a bullet, or a knife, or a fist, it's just words and opinion which you are free to agree with, get offended, or not waste your time by acknowledging the person. If anyone is not able or interested in ignoring an offending user on their own, we've provided the "Block" feature.

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/33426-How-do-I-block-or-ignore-an-annoying-user

Personally, I like to hear all opinions and cast aside that which I decide I don't agree with. Hearing other opinions forces me to challenge my position on issues/topics. And because of that we don't typically ban someone just for being abrasive or disagreeable. We prefer that ideas be challenged and would prefer that people do not attack each other personally. Physical threats cannot be tolerated.

As to the original topic; this post best describes me:

I've been tempted to bait BZ into another helmet debate. I'm amazed by how popular ski helmets have become thru peer pressure and without government involvement.

You know, I found it was easier to "Do Less" once I got my bike's suspension tuned properly for me. I went to a local pro for consultation in addition to reading a bit on the Internet.

I second that Tink. I want to be a better rider than I am. I have been riding since I was 16. I know counter steering and the rudiments of cornering and still think I suck. I live in a rural setting and do not have access to track days or much track style instruction and even if I did I think I might be intimidated but the young, leather clad, bucks on their high tech carving knives. I find that I am ultra cautious to the point where I miss some of the fun. I use these forums to ask questions, and to listen to the responses. The fact that a real instructor happens to post is just icing on the cake. I don't mind a bit of good natured banter but I am serious about wanting to be a better rider.

It is funny though, the other day I was taking a ride down one of out local twistie roads. I turned off onto a secondary road and there is always loose gravel in that corner. The back end started to go away and I got on the gas just a bit to straighten it up and was on my way. It took me a second to smile at my instinct and say "Hey! Not bad." I don't think I am as bad as I think I am but I am still not scrubbing my tires or eliminating my chicken strips.

As for learning in a static rather than an active environment, last night I had a dream. I dreamed I was riding a road I ride often. I rounded a corner and a car was over taking another in a blind corner and was directly in my path. I woke up in a cold sweat but soon started to play the scenario over in my mind. Was there a way out? Yes, if I didn't panic. I could head for the shoulder. I imagined all kinds of shoulders from drop offs to gravel and imagined how I would ride each one. It made me fee better to work on the problem. You have no idea how many times my ass has been saved by thinking and not giving into panic. I think this is one part of being a better rider, having the information to work the problem until you are truly out of options.
