She's in a safe place now

Good evening, everyone! I'm the proud second owner of an '84 VF 700 F interceptor. I rescued this spritely little bike out of a barn as a restoration project.

A little about me, 26 year old forklift/heavy equipment technician, my current ride is an '05 Honda vtx 1300, 4x4 ford pickup or Honda civic depending on the weather. I like guns, fast cars/bikes, boobs and ice cold beer.

I plan to poke around on here for information about this unicorn motorcycle and educate myself, hopefully without bothering y'all too much. Conveniently the bike runs and rides great, just needs a little TLC.

I can update with pictures of all the toys upon request.

Wow, that looks clean for being in a barn.

Some guy named Squirrell Man will be along shortly to tell you to get rid of it. Don't listen.
He has a huge amount of early VFR knowledge, but he acts like he hates them.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! To answer the question as to why boobs are third on the list is because of all my experiences on fast cars/bikes, I've never been in so much trouble as a set of boobs has landed me in. The guns have never been an issue.

If the squirrelman does in fact tell me to get rid of the bike, I'll ask him kindly to point me in the direction of a non rusted out tank so I may do so after a few seasons of riding.. The original tank is completely rotted and useless, meaning this bike is grounded until I can locate a replacement.

nice find on the bike! i'm looking at picking up an 86 fvr700 for a restoration project.

i also like the OD GREEN magpul furniture on the AR. i've been looking at picking up their fore grip for mine, probably if brown though as that is what my rear site is.

Don't worry about asking questions. There's a wealth of information and informative people on this site. We're all here to help. Except maybe the Canadians, but that's a different story.

 

I don't necessarily have all the luck, fellas. The civic in the garage is under construction at the moment getting a fresh powerplant. As far as the bikes, boobs and guns is concerned I'm blessed. (Don't tell her I said that)

To answer your questions on the location of that picture, I was actually in old easley south Carolina. I live in upstate sc.

Also, I ordered the tank duccmann posted the link for.. English was clearly the sellers second language so getting any useful info on how rusty the inside of the tank is was moot. But for the price, I figured I'd take the risk.
