Find/make a manometer! Then sync your starter valves and take the slack out of the wax unit linkage. Thats the first thing. Next is sync the throttle bodies, I have one pair slightly behind the other to provide a much smoother response. Warning the throttle is choppy below 3000rpm. So keep her humming happy 4000 to 13000 :D if its not brand new, go over the electrical. Burnt connectors are common especially near the r/r unit. Frame connections are also know to be flaky. The notorious r/r issue is simply a high load or not enough load for too long takes out the r/r and that can kill a stator. There have been some random stator failures that I know of but imho its best to reason that if one is gone both are gone or will be. if it is brand new then when you pop the fairings off do an inspection but it doesnt need to be too indepth. Oh and order a few of the plastic fairing clips. The two or three on the bottom that hold the halves together get filled with crap and break when you try to push the center in to release them. There is a trick to resetting the clips to get the center out so that they hold properly. A small flat screw driver like one just larger than eye glasses repair screw driver works great.

Go over to the 6th gen forum and post your vin for the records we are trying to figure out how many 25th anniversary models were made and every little bit helps.

The bike provides 34 amps total, this runs everything and charges the battery. So dont go accessory happy.

And post pics of your beauty when she arrives.

    Temporary plastic Tax disc holder..
Apparently the guy who traded it in for a 2014 model had a red anodized aluminum one with 'VFR' machined into it so he kept it for his new bike :)

Those green things behind her give her better definition ;)

Somewhere on here is working links to the honda common service manual and the vfr 2002-09 service manual. These two books cover 98% of what you need to know. The forum and chat make up the rest :)
