Ready for the trip this week!!!

This week, we begin the first step in our move back to the West Coast! Really excited. Been packing the camper all week, and getting the house ready to list.



I'll be taking I-95 down to I-10, and then it's 2500 miles to Cali! haha Such fun. Looking forward to some sunny canyon riding next weekend. Wish me luck!

Thanks all for the well-wishes. Would have loved a pit-stop in H-town. Made it to Ventura CA unscathed, driving on stress the entire way. As it was, the trip was complete HELL!!! GVRW was 23k (2K lighter than trip east a few years prior). Trailer gave me fits the entire way, and needed 5 of the 6 tires replaced while enroute, in addition to a ground/short in an as-yet-to-be-revealed location that caused triple-axle brake malfunctions the majority of the way. Not to mention the leaking turbo boot and the degas bottle underhood mess which prevented any type of speedy travels. Me thinks a top-end engine rebuild is coming down the pipe!!! And then there were the storms in the south-east that I drove through. No biggie there, since I was the slowest thing on the road. hahaha

That all being said, arrived safely and got the bike out of the hauler on Saturday for a once-over. Sunday, OOTV and I met up for a quick ride up in the Malibu canyons. Busy place, but worth the trip to hang out and see all the loonies that were out. Felt great to get the VFR out on the best coast. Looking forward to the next outing.

So you have been to the Rock Store & Malibu Canyons, next you need to do a Sunday Morning on the Angeles Forest Crest and Newcomb's Ranch for breakfast.

Spent a lot of time at both in the mid-eighties, on my VF750F.

 

We have plans for Shawn Muhaha! :vtr2: Even though the temps have been good here, a couple of weekends ago, the temps up at Newcomb's were in the mid to low 30's! :crazy:

 

Thanks guys! We love SoCal. Lived in the Ventura area for 6 years before being moved to Charleston. Glad to be back. And yes, OOTV and a couple others have mentioned some good rides that are in store. Can't wait!
