I would be really surprised if someone from this community bought a bike out from under you, we just don't roll like that. Folks around here are very helpful and willing to lend a hand. I've had several members help me with problems that I was unsure about how to fix or didn't have the right tools for, for nothing more than a 6 pack. And I have checked out bikes and parts for others too, and wouldn't expect to be paid for it.

I wouldn't think twice about having a member check out a bike, or checking one out for someone else.

Thanks for the info. I may do that.

At this point I would be surprised if the ad is correct since the bike is Silver like the '08 not black like Honda says the '09's are so my offer will change.

Maybe I should just wait for the '14, other than that pipe I like the looks pretty well just not the $14k price tag!

Yeah, the 2014 looks like it could be an awesome bike. The price puts it out of my reach, but I'll still be keeping an eye on what people are saying about and doing with the bike. I don't buy new bikes. I'd rather find a well cared for and tastefully modified bike. Most bikes need suspension work done to match the rider, and the exhaust, and undertail on stock bikes usually leave a lot to be desired. That's why I like used bikes.

Yea the 14 is car money by the time TTT is added and I seriously doubt I will go that route. I have a hard time thinking I will pay $16k for a bike!

Ask seller to email you the vinplate and colour sticker under the seat. That wat you can verify lots with the VIN and verify the colour. Maybe it has been painted which would make me wonder why. Could be a very ligit answer for tjay. Mine got a new paintjob for ligit reason.

I did exactly that at least the frame plate and manufacture year. That will tell me about the color based on what Honda says was available in the US.

It will be interesting to see what they say since according to Honda only black was available for '09 model year in the US

Here is the best source I have found for info on all years of all bikes http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/2014-motorcycle-models.htm You can get all the specs of almost every make and model of every year back to the 70's, including pictures and color options.

I just checked, it finally has all the 2014 Honda's. But still only Pics of the Euro VFR800, still waiting to see any photo of a US version (probably won't have the gold wheels or the VFR emblem).

BTW, You are correct on the color options for those years. If it's silver, it was either repainted, or it's an 08 (although color is the only difference from 06 to 09)

Yea and either way I now think $7500 is to much for it even with just 1900 miles, bags, and ABS.
