yeah, the paint on the tail section looks wrong. My guess, wrecked, rebuilt with parts that "fit" and repainted/or cheap chinese fairings.

Could it be a VTR1000 dressed in borrowed clothes?

I am no RC30 expert. I was just thinking of a Honda with two pipes like that.

Frame sure looks like that of an RC30.

That's an NT650 Hawk that was rebodied as a RC30. I was looking at doing the same thing with a 90 that I found but was to wrecked to rebuild. They used the same frame but the 650 was a semi naked bike.

Still have my doubts with this RC 30. But I would have to disagree with it being a nt650. I was tinkering with a Hawk a few years back and for some reason a few pointless details still rattle around in my head: The RC30 (including the ebay one) has a bolt hole in the frame just past the midspar weld. As well the rearset mounts are different. The front fork looks somewhat legit for RC30.

That's not a nt650 frame. Look more closely at a photo of both.

The pipes appear to be Supertraps based on the stamped logo but why a dual system? It ruins the looks for no benefit.

The seller also wants a hefty deposit and has provided almost no info on the bike so I for one wouldn't go near it. The location, as already stated, is probably the biggest issue. If I can't drive it or trailer it home,, no thanks. I just thought I would flag it here so we could kick it around a bit.

Lower is a bit crooked and mounting hardware is missing when you zoom in and look, it is a pile.

I did sell a rebel 450 petrol tank to someone in PR for 450 dollars
