    Hi guys,

I bought myself an engine cover from Carbonadi.de. It looks great and fits perfect.
I also mounted some crash protectors from Lust Racing. They need no extra drilling in the fairing.
Last year I ordered already some parts from FF Carbon. Front fender, side panels and chain guard.

Can you share some pics of the crash protectors mounting points?
Do you think they are strong enough?

Hey bud I can tell you from experience the Lust Racing Bungs are good till the first drop...

...I had a soft drop if you will, had to replace the fairing bracket it attaches too. Now if you were going down the road it would probably tear the fairing or worse, the bracket they attach to is just not strong enough.

So I get a hold of the Company Right? via email...don't bother! the customer support sucks, they said this was their first complaint and would not even send me a replacement sticker for the one that got ruined in the drop. Just as well, I don't want to advertise for the bastards anyways :cool-new:

    Nice Bike BTW!

Yeah i've been reading few of these comments, but just wanted to be sure.
I'll go with custom made in this case. Everything else is too damn expensive... :grumpy:

I hear ya bro, as the saying goes...you get what you pay for :dog:

IF we could reinforce the brackets or make new stronger one's that would be the ticket...as they are the weak link in the chain. Problem solved!

    Those carbon-esque pieces are Sweet!

I have similar/ the same crash protectors (from ebay) on my 6th Gen and I can verify that they work great in a fall/bike tip-over. If not for them my fairing would be scratched up; they stand no chance in a crash IMHO but they have been well worth the $$ I spent

I wouldn't suggest those crash protecters myself. I had a similar set on my 94, and when I layed it down at a fairly low speed (say about 10-15mph), the fairing mounting bracket underneath folded, and ripped the crash protecter right thru the fairing itself leaving a rather nasty hole rather than just scratches that would have taken a little sanding and painting to fix.

Here's the crash protectors I'm looking at possibly ordering if I decide to install a set.

I hope he didn't. May as well just mount those things straight to the radiator with all thread.
