    Hey gang,

Just picked up a really nice 90 VFR a couple weeks ago and thought I'd stop by and introduce myself. The name is Dan, and I gotta say that I really love the lines of these classic bikes much better then the new stuff. Hoping to learn a lot about these things, and really look forward to putting some seat time on it. Anyways, enough rambling, here are some pics for clicks. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics.

Here she is right after we picked her up

The Viffer sitting next to the wife's 92 CBR600F2 with 22k original miles

Right after a detail and out in the sun

Previous owner put on a tinted shield and Y2K mirrors

Pretty shiny for 24 year old paint

And it has the rare and highly coveted TBR left exit high mount exhaust system

    Yup, it's the real deal

Anyways, here she is. Looking forward to whatever suggestions and comments you may have.

Great looking bike. Looks to be in great shape especially given its age. Have fun and enjoy the ride.

    Hi Kemer1 - welcome to the MadHouse.:welcome:

That is a great looking bike - and obviously it was someone pride and joy. Better still - as you will soon discover red is the fastest colour for any VFR:potstir:!

Take care of her and she will be a friend for life.:vtr2:

I'll look for you at bike night- third Friday of each month in the Arts District- same place as First Friday, half a mile east of I-15 on Charleston.
Starts up around 7-ish, with a better turnout on warmer days.

Thank you all for a warm welcome. I really do like this bike. Even though I've only had the pleasure to ride her to the DMV to get her registered. I really did get lucky coming across this beauty. She's never even been on her side. The plastics are PERFECT. Pretty remarkable for a bike with 67k miles on her. Came with steel braded brake lines, Corbin seat, a box of the original parts, a service manual, a Joe Rocket jacket and gloves. Just need to source a rear seat cowl.

ffl, I sadly never make it to the bike nights, but if you see me cruising around, feel free to stop me and say hi. There can't be too many of these bikes rolling around Vegas. Do you ever make it out to cars and coffee in Henderson? I'm in the Summerlin area, and I usually have the wife in tow on her F2.

Beautiful bike! 67 thousand clams aint nothing for it, use that sixth gear as an over drive which translates into triple digits, 90-100 mph is good, just not for your licence

I think I had a tinted black sceen like you have, got it from china and it lasted less than a year. Have a Skidmarx one now from the UK and its a nice unit, as you can see through it! Looks like you have different generation mirrors on there too, I was able to find oem condom style mirrors for mine.

Ok, Cheers and Welcome aboard. Love Gen 3 bikiees...

Agreed, I absolutely love those white rims.

I know these motors are way over-engineered and can take high miles like nothing. Even this isn't too bad, just 2800 miles per year. Good eye on the mirrors, they're 5th gen mirrors off of a 2000 model year...plus I still have the original condom ones in the box of parts that came with the bike.

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much one of those TBR exhaust systems is worth now days? I know they're rare as hen's teeth, and seems like they're pretty coveted. So any ideas? Thanks all.

Thank you sir, the wife and I both love our bikes. Don't see those on the road every day, especially not riding side by side.

While the weather is just pounding the east coast and the pacific northwest, the weather out here in Vegas was just beautiful. So the wife and I decided to take the two classics out for a ride out to red rock. Just had a blast. Here are a few crappy cell pics of the bikes in their natural habitat...the open road.

I'm also in Summerlin, near Rampart & Lake Mead, so I don't get down to Hendo too much... and I've actually missed more bike nights than I've made lately.

My sis has a Ninja 500 and wants to go riding next Saturday, Feb 15th.
It'll be afternoon since I have plans that morning, but other than that, it's still in the talk-about-it stages.
I'm just guessing it'll be Red Rock and then Summit, since Mt C. is crowded with snow bunnies and kinda cool for my blood.

Fftl that's funny, we're almost neighbors, I'm off of Buffalo and Washington. Our favorite sushi joint is at Lake Mead and Rampart. I'll agree that Mt. Charleston is way too cold for a ride, but if you and your sis get your ride together please let me know as the wife unit and I would love to tag along.

Holy crap, who knew that getting simple parts like exhaust gaskets, fasteners, and heat shields would be so hard for this thing. Parts on back order with no eta dates...ugh. Oh the price of keeping a classic alive.

The weather here in Vegas has been so nice lately you couldn't help but go out for a ride. So here are a few celly shots from our last ride.

The wife's F2. Man I love those lines on that bike...

My 3rd gen in the middle of the pack. The wife's F2 on the right, ftl900's y2k 5th gen in yellow on the far left, and his sister's Ninja 500 in the middle.

ftl900 "posing" next to his bike. Beautiful Red Rock canyon in the background.

Clouds moving in, but still a nice day for a ride.
