New guy from MA

Hi all. New to this forum. I don't currently have a VFR but I have always wanted one. I have been riding street since 96. I have owned 7 bikes and 6 have been Hondas. Just hoping to learn a little about the VFR & use that info to make a purchase sometime in the future.

 

Welcome to the forum. You are and associate wannabe until you get your VFR. JK I don't think you will find too many here who do not just love their VFR's. I've only owned the one I have now and only ridden a couple other bikes for relatively short times so cannot off you a qualified opinion on if it is a better bike than another you may have had or interested in. But soon as you get it if you do, ya gotsta post pics!

 

Thank you for the welcome. For info purposes I'm not comparing the VFR to other rides so don't worry about that. I know the VFR is a great bike. I am a fan of all years & have been interested in one since I started riding in 96. Always kept my eye on them off & on through the years. It's something I've always said I would like to get later in years. Well it's later & I'm ready. I will definitely post up when I get one.

 

Totally jealous of your Tuono V4R btw. I want to ride one so bad...

 

Thank you. It's my first bike that isn't a Honda. I fell in love with it. It just got delivered to my house. It's too cold here still. I only put three miles on her to go fill up the tank. Can't wait for spring. OMG what a sound it makes. I want to ride one so bad too.

 

I follow RoadcraftNottingham on Youtube. I fell in love the first time he opened it up and I heard that song. As you can see I'm also an Italian lover...

 

Oh his vids are great! I talk to him on the AF1 Aprilia forum. Great guy.

 

It's my first Italian. They can be finicky but they make up for it.

 

Not a single hick-up from my Duc. (Now saying that, its going to fall apart on the first ride of this year... :lol

Welcome to the club, and, we'll have to meet some time to compare bikes ... I have a 2007 Tuono as well as my 800 (slightly modified).

Thank you. I love the 4th gen but I am over carbs. I'd like a 5th gen or a late 6th gen.

 

If the new VFR were coming to the states I'd consider that too but I don't believe it will. @ least not this year.

I think that's just matter of time before the new VFR arrives in the US.

When the weather turns we should try & get together with some other members. It shouldn't be to hard to get Gen 5 & 6 side by side.

 

That would be great. Love to check some out up close & get some feedback. I don't run into too many.
