I don't want to brag but yesterday morning it was 40 degrees so I put on my gear and headed over to the bike shop. They were having a small event and I shot pictures until my battery died. I went home the long way through Lucas, Farmersville and Blue Ridge. It was a nice soothing ride. The temp warmed up to 67 under cloudless skies so it was really nice.

I was playing with my GoPro and determined that the helmet mount, while looking really stupid, gets the best shots. The wide angle of the camera lens is a bit much though.

I can't stop reading real state ads in Central America. I'm leaning towards Panama, the wife in on board, just have to convince the kids. Anyone know what the riding is like there?

We have been having runs of high temps to 104f in most of our Citys and major bush fires the last few weeks with some roads in the outback turning to toffee, mind wouldn't swap it for your extreme cold though. Perhaps we could arrange a trade to even things out a little ?

Seem SoCal is burning too. And prospects are not good that it will get better soon. We haven't had much snow locally this year so domestic water in the reservoirs could be an issue this summer. Not sure what north central BC is like snow wise so the flood threat I don't know. That is where our runoff comes in the Fraser River which usually hits here around mid June.

Its been damn cold here in Jersey as well. The temps have been single digits and well below zero with the wind chill for what seems like weeks. Funny how quick you get used to that cold though - we hit 20* F today, and going outside with just a tee shirt and sweatshirt was fine.

Maybe DiveVFR will slip on that frost and land in his chilly 72* pool. Ohhh the humanity.

    You'd always be welcome Jethro.

You know, even with a partial pension you could live really well down there. Couple blocks from the beach, less then 30mins from the mountains on the GS. After your daily ride you could jump in your pool to cool down while your wife fixes drinks and the maid is grilling the catch of the day.
Now if you had Randy's pension you could be beach front with a butler and a maid.
