    VFR777:

I upgraded to HeliBars, but I also got anti-vibration dampers called Vibranators, plus I went with some cheap foam grips (little larger in diameter) and the combination got rid of the buzzing and tingling in my nearly 70 year hands. They are not cheap, but they offer a 30 day money back guarantee.

    From the company:
How to Reduce Tonic Vibration Reflex
The only approach to reducing vibration is to interfere and disrupt the harmonic resonance of the handlebars. The most efficient means possible to stop or reduce harmonic resonance is the use of tuned mass dampers. Through the use of tuned mass dampers, violent motion caused by harmonic vibration can be stabilized.

Is it your hand that makes it uncomfortable to ride? One thing you might have is a death grip. If you are squeezing the grips too tightly you can get hand fatigue very quickly. The death grip can be more pronounced in town where traffic is heavy and the stress level is higher. I have a throttle lock for long distance that eases the stress on my right hand. Any anti-vibration measure you can take at the bar ends will help you. I like the lowered Buell pegs on mine for comfort and if you want to ride all day lose the stock seat. It sucks.

Try some bigger gloves; they might be restricting your circulation, causing the tingling. I get the same thing and its getting worse as I get older (turning 50 this year), just have to shake my dead hand around occasionally.

I just turned 50 and am looking forward to spending lots of time on my new VFR 1200. I've been on my V65 Sabre since 1986 and spent a bit of time on a 2000 Superhawk. The Sabre is mostly upright buy I never had any problems on the 'Hawk and I'm definitely in the large guy group. I think a part of the equation is staying flexible which I try to do.

VFR777 may be talking about his Harley which most of us would not want to ride at all much less 30 minutes in Kansas. I don't even want to know what the weather is like there today.. This is also the same dude who claims under a different name that he is in the 150mph club on some farm road. My advice: Sell out and buy a Yugo.

60, just bought a 96 VFR 750 from insurance auction. Also have 73 Trident, 2007 KTM Enduro R, 2006 Daytona 675. I track the 675 and ride the mountains with my KTM. You're never too old if you're in shape.

The T150 Triumph Trident /BSA Rocket Three is an fantastic bike when it's right. I worked in a Triumph dealership back in the day and put rings in every one we sold. Rebuilt my share of them too. They sure ride sweet.

    Hi ,
I'm 56 soon and I love my 98 VFR my wife don't like motorbikes but that's her choice
I live in S Wales UK and most Sundays I ride out with a few mates to a welsh town called Abergavenny where everybody meets there, it is normal to see hundreds of motorcyclist parked up having a bacon roll cup of tea and a good old chin wag, we then take a ride up to the Brecon mountains country lanes great riding
At 56 I class myself as a youngster I'm the youngest of my biking chums most motorbike
Riders that I see are middle aged who ride for pleasure .
    Regards paul

Down there near SF you should be able to find one of the ACDC models that plug in.

I think I'm surrounded by a bunch of old geezers. I'm 45 years old, not the youngest by any means, but sure have a lot of fun riding my bike.

I was concerned that the VFR was going to be too much of an old man's bike. But it's not! It suits me just right!
