I had just completed a front brake redo, completed test ride of 86 miles and all was well. I go out the next morning to go to work and it wouldn't start. Turns just fine, but no spark. In order to troubleshoot it I had to remove all the rear plastic to reach the control module. This was helpful to determine the problem, but more cracks develop in the rear light section each time I touch them. :uncomfortableness: I actually use clear packing tape on the bottom of each turn light to hold them in. Now the top 2 mounts are busted. Anyway, removal was not required anyway because the problem was the ON / OFF switch on the handle bar. I sprayed a little De-oxit 5 in there and problem solved. I used a nice DVM with sharp probes to diagnose, but safe to say if you did not have this available chances are a little contact cleaner spray will solve this problem. After spraying move the switch a bunch of times. I suspect it will good for a few more years. :star:

There's no need to use the emergency cutoff switch to shut the bike down if that's what you've been doing. Just turn the key ignition off. Constantly cycling that switch over time and allowing the contacts to stay open just allows stuff to build up on the surface.

LOL I never use it. I only use the key. A moved switch wears out. An un-used switch builds up contact resistance.
