I just recently purchased a 1985 vf500 and was given the motor off of a 1987 vfr700. I was wondering what modifications I would have to make for the new motor to fit and if the carbs from the 500 would work. Thanks in advance for any help!

firstly the carbs won't fit, secondly, a lot of work is in your future if you do this, and thirdly, didn't you already do a thread about this?

Exactly. You would essentially need to fabricate a new frame. The VFR700 is the larger block and is very similar to the VF700/750 and VF1000 engines. They are MUCH larger, the little 500 frame doesn't have enough room for it.
