I was a good boy this year, and my wife got me a gopro for Xmas.
Here is my first attempt, a bit shaky, so I might have to reconsider positioning of camera mount.
At the moment it's located just above the left side blinker, I think I'll move it to the front of the bike just above the headlight.

And as my mother will be watching it, here is the disclaimer:

#1: No first borns were hurt in the production of this video
#2: All speed limits were obeyed and any appearance otherwise is due to post video processing
#3: This video may or may not actually be me

Good stuff! Edited to a watchable length..

Question.. Some stretches of roadway you were on had two lanes in the direction you were heading and only one lane in the opposite direction.. What is that all about?

    Horrible traffic too...LOL

Think there's something wrong with your Gopro and it flipped the video as you're on the wrong side of the road :eyebrows:

Maybe they are right and we are left in the middle of the road.

Why did the wombat cross the road?

To get to the girly wombats. Only chickens do that shit arbitrarily. Some harleydoods too.

You can't tell from the video, but all the 3 lane section is up hill.
Some up hill sections have overtaking lanes.
    Very civilised.
And we can't afford 3 or 4 lanes everywhere.
We drive on the left side of the road because that is the most picturesque.
You guys got it wrong and are too stubborn to change.

Yes its a Staintune pipe with no baffles, no other one sounds like it. From 6000 to 11000 revs it just sings.
The song is Wake Up by Rage Against the Machine. One of my favourite rev up songs.

Got it! We have some of those too. Not enough. "Civilized" can be carried a bit too far. There are areas where the bicycle lanes on both sides of the road are as wide as the lanes for regular traffic including logging trucks. The best one is the "center" lane smack dab in the middle of the fucking road . The idea I suppose for that particular invention was to facilitate left turns. The reality is that it becomes a lane where two vehicles going in opposite directions can occupy at the same time. Or a place to occupy to get into the main flow of traffic or a parking lot to unload shit in a 25 mph zpne.

Aussies stubborn? I thought that was only blokes from NZ.. ;)
