After a lot of searching for rear tail section modification threads, I realized there is none. well, there are a few swaps that people have done, but they require fabrication and spending some cash. I was specifically looking modifications to the plastic part of the tail section, since the back end of the 2nd gen looks kind of ugly to me. I think a different seat will actually give me what I'm looking for. Something lower profile. I don't like how it curves up towards the gas tank, either. So are there different seat options out there? like a seat off of a newer VFR?

Oh, and I'm in the process of polishing the lip of the wheels, what do you think?

Something should be done. The current seat shown looks very uncomfortable. At this point, maybe some of the foam inserts used to buffer appliances glued together with hot glue would be at least more comfy.

Those wheels will look really nice all polished up. They look better even now after stripping off the paint using that acetone and a rag. Rattlecan paint does have it's benefits.

Thanks, I believe it was powder coat. Acetone didn't do shit. I just used that to clean the grime off the wheels. It took a TON of sanding to get through the layer of black and THEN white underneath of that. I'm def. going to use paint stripper to do the rest.

So no one has modified/used a different seat here?

Acetone will remove paint and powdercoating. The best way would be to get about ten gallons and just soak the entire wheels for a day or so.

If you decide to fabricate a seat from foam blocks. the fabrics shops have bins of roll end fabrics from tapestry to synthetic fur that could be used as covers.

For seat mods try Rich's seats. He's online and in Kingston.
