Hey all just thought I would post a hello. Picked up an 84 interceptor in Sept and have been having a blast completely rebuilding it. Got the bike from a kid for $400 sort of running and 1/2 stripped apart with a lot of parts missing.Stripped it down to the frame and sandblasted it. Now I have gone through the bike and have fixed all the electrical, carbs, and body, still collecting parts to finish it off and should have it done by the end of Feb beginning of Mar.

Been checking out the site for a few months and thought I would join you. A little about my bike riding...... First started riding in 1983 with a Suzuki GS400F. Rode it till 1986 and got an 85 500 Interceptor. Did a full custom paint job on it (1972 Corvette Sunshine yellow with blue pinstripes) rode it from 86 to 90. Raced it on open track days, did some drag racing with it ( best time was 11.99@124mph ) and some street racing. Sold it in 90 to buy a VFR750R then the company I was with layed off all but 6 people so had to get my deposit back on the bike. I stopped riding then and got into building Street rods, Customs, and Mini Trucks. I was looking for a small winter project and came across the 84 and figures what the hell I might as well pick it up and have some fun.

I'll take a couple of pic's of progress so far and post them up for you.

Welcome to The World! Better hurry up with those pics, the natives get restless and downright ornery when new members post without pics. I'll cover you while you go take snapshots...

Nice, definitely one of kind! Looks like you're no stranger to working in garage either! Looking forward to ride pics soon...well maybe after winter.

Found an old pic of my 85 Interceptor just after I painted it. I'm sort of going for the same look with the 84 but in Burnt Copper with Black pin striping.

    Yellow VF500.jpg
The only change I did other then color was I put a 47 tooth rear gear on it.
