    Hi Guys,
New guy here from what's now the cold cold north, Toronto that is.
Picked up my 03 Gen 6 last weekend just in time for the first snow. Oh well, good weather couldn't last.
Weather was just evil riding my trade, a Ducati Multistrada 620 to the dealer, was cold blowing snow.
Fortunately GP Bikes took pity on me an trailered me and the VFR home.
Have a few things to do to her before next season like suspension, but all in all it's a nice, stock, low km, unmolested bike that I plan to ride just as she is.
    Here's a pic...

Welcome Brother, from the not-quite-so-cold South.

Like you, I picked up my Gen 6 this past weekend. Mine rode home in the chariot too (different reason). We have spent around 100 in-town miles getting to know each other this week. Fantastic bike! I know you will be as pleased as I am with the new family member. Please report on the suspension mods. Great luck!!!

So far the plans are to upgrade the springs F & R with Racetech components and possibly front shim sets.
As I understand it the bike is sprung lightly for a 160 lb rider, I'm 200.
Rear shock will require machining to accommodate different spring and nitrogen charging, fortunately I have a lot of racing contacts who do this work regularly.
Will post my experiences as they unfold.

I did manage a ride around the block last weekend, next season's going to be fun!!!

Yup, had the harness recall work performed before picking her up.
Wiring is well within my comfort zone so I'm going to take a real hard look at "all" the wiring and connections over the winter.
Will go aftermarket harness components or do it myself.

Thought the brake recall was for the ABS Proportioning Valve not a sensor.
    Am I mistaken?

You don't smoke crack do you? That seems to be the in thing in TO recently. Welcome to the site. You seem to be missing reflectors on the sides of your side bags. Are they OEM or after market Givi bags, who actually make OEM for Honda. Just curious. I have a frined in TO. Maybe you know him! LOL

    Welcome to the group Tom!
Looks like you picked up a nice example there. I can se that this will be the longest winter ever for you. :glee:

I hope you have some winter hobbies to take your mind off the thoughts of riding. There are loads of VFR owners up here in Ontario and for the most part I believe that they don't smoke crack. You should check out the Ontario VFR owners club to meet the local crowd. It can be a bit quiet on there but they are good folks and get together from time to time to ride and swap lies.

    Thanks Jethro911,
Ya it's going to be a long winter which is good for skiing, going out for first runs tomorrow.
I'll be busy with bike stuff though. Doing a complete refresh of the R6 race bike, will inspect tires to tach and everything in between.
Motor will be in the "just legal" category, more modern electronics, everything else has been upgraded so freshening up is all that's required.
The VFR thankfully doesn't need anything (I have enough projects) except suspension and a diligent electrical inspection.

Went to the Ontario VFR site... Seems more of a message board than anything else but not to worry. Pretty much every rider in the city shows up at my local Timmy's, Kennedy Commons at some point, I'm certain to meet a few VFR riders there.
